    Wonderful two nights stay, A kitchen and spacious room design was surprisingly convenient and comfort when you travel. If you are a light sleeper, just ask for a room off Aurora Ave.

    Nice staff, but poor experience

    First, the staff was extremely nice and the breakfast buffet was very good.

    However, our experience at the Staybridge Suites was uncomfortable and disappointing.

    I had booked a one-room suite for my mother, my sister, her husband, and myself so that we could attend our grandmother’s funeral the next day.

    We checked in on the evening of March 24, but our suite was not ready (even though it was after 8pm) and we had to wait at least half an hour in the lobby. The desk clerk was apologetic and offered us water and to waive the parking and hotel fee, which we appreciated.

    When we were finally allowed to go up to the room, we encountered a manager and two housekeeping staff members frantically trying to clean the room. Unfortunately, they used so much air freshener and cleaners, we had open all of the windows (which only open about 4 inches) and turn on the kitchen fan and the air conditioner as well as prop the door open with a chair. My sister and I were unable to stay in the room because of the chemical smell as it was making us both nauseous. So, we waited in the lobby for a few hours until the room had aired out.

    Even after we returned to the room, the chemical odor never quite dissipated (you could smell it all the way down the hall to the elevator) and we could smell the chemicals in our hair and clothes the next day. While we considered asking for another room, since it was so late at night we did not think that another would be available, otherwise, they would have given it to us from the start.

    The room itself seemed nice, but the sofa bed was not queen-size as advertised and not large enough for two people to sleep in comfortably. Also, the traffic noise from the street was quite loud, even after we closed the windows. In addition, because we had to air the room, it was very cold and so we requested an additional comforter, which took another hour to get from housekeeping.

    As I mentioned earlier, the buffet was very good, especially the waffles and fresh fruit. We also appreciated that we were able to use the late check-out the next day. The desk clerk the next day also offered to credit my account with additional points.

    Yet, I am not sure I would ever consider staying at Staybridge Suites again and would not be likely to recommend it to anyone.

The type of service you received is definitely not to our standards nor is it acceptable for any guest to receive during there stay. The day you checked in we had several staff call out sick and so our entire team including our managers were cleaning and preparing guest rooms for arrival.     My overall experience with Staybridge Suites Seattle was awesome, and the adventure of getting there is where it all started and sealed the whole staying with you all for me. Although I know Seattle to visit, I don't know it for driving and navigating my way through the streets, to make matters worse my GPS on my cell was not working.

    After a good half hour or so wasted trying to figure my way to you from the downtown area I called frustrated and looking for help, thankfully on the other end was Quba! Not only was she a natural people person, she stayed on the phone with my while helping others other guests as well giving me turn by turn directions. Wasn't for her, my frustration would have grown and with out a doubt would have tainted my whole experience.

    Once I arrived and seen all the guests she was helping at the front counter I felt bad taking up her time, she wouldn't have nothing to do with that and went right to getting me taken care of along with a number of other guests coming and going.

    She is a Champ, an awesome representative for you and the #1 reason for my stay being what it was and why I'll stay with you all again as well as recommend you to others!
