Poorly managed

Manager is extremely rude and disrespectful. Myself and all of my coworkers have had issues with her manually entering our debit/credit cards after our stay....even though our bills were paid previously.

Our first stay. Very pleasantly surprised. Check-in person was friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very impressive. We will go out of our way to stay at a Candlewood Suites in the future.

Not really up to par

The staff was friendly and welcoming, but the premises were not as clean as they had been on a previous visit. The towels and bed linens were frayed and stained and there was trash in the corner of the hallway by the elevators.I'm sure that the hotel is working extra hours with less staff during this time and that things will return to the quality they were before.

Convenient to interstate highway

Overnight stop from Florida to Massachusetts, but, no tv guide, or hotel and surrounding area guide. I had no problems with hotel staff.
My one beef was with the barbeque area that is used for a smoking area. I walked by there and the area reeked like an ashtray. I wouldn't stay here for more than one night.

The hotel rooms are good size and a good value for the room rate. However, you do get what you pay for. There was not daily room service. If you wanted clean towels you had to bring your dirty towels to the front desk. If you wanted soaps, shampoos, coffee etc you had to go to the front desk and ask. There was no trash removal so trash bags were left outside the rooms. Trash cans had been placed at the ends of the hall but were overflowing. My parents room- facing east- was missing the black out shades. The light came pouring in. We asked to have the shades fixed but they did not accommodate. We rigged up some sun blocking that I am sure will be left for the next guest to deal with. Overall the rooms were good size but not really an "easy" stay. Note- we had 6 rooms booked

My First and Last Stay

We stayed at Fredericksburg Candlewood Suites for 4 days while we waited for our new home to be ready for move-in. I selected it because it was close to the new house and had a full kitchen and laundry amenities.
The room was very small (not as pictured online) Had to squeeze between the bed and wall to get in it. Mattress hard,impossible to sleep on. Furniture was worn and torn. Had to purchase utensils to cook in the kitchen. Freezer seal bad, lost all of the food
Had to ask desk for TP and towel that were issued one at a time.
Needed dirty towels picked up and trash emptied, told to put trash in the dumpster behind the hotel and put towels in the laundry chute.
The room was clean, but the disinfectant/deodarizer used in the hotel and in the room was so strong it caused a headache.
I had to have my key reset every day in order to access my room.
Not worth the money spent.
Needless to say, we won't be staying in an IHG hotel again.

Mediocre at Best

In town for a local sporting event. Called to see if we could check in early. Advised on the phone yes we could come about an hour early. Arrived an hour early and told "sorry" but a no go....Asked if they could call if room became available and they confirmed; however they never called and when we checked in at required time she made comment about how many people she had been checking in all afternoon, so not sure no rooms came open.

Went to room - room size and layout nice. Called to request a couple of extra towels and told they would be brought to the room....never came - had to go down and get them. Wash cloths were stained. No linens or blankets for pull out couch - had to go down and get them. Didn't notice that only a half roll of toilet paper in the room with no extras or tissues to be found.....

Truly AWFUL Experience

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE I checked into my room on Sun 10/04/20. The bathroom toilet did not work. I was told by the FD that it would need to wait until Monday as there was no maintenance on staff. Monday 10/05/20 I returned from work to find all my personal belongings outside my room along with the linens. I knocked on the door and found a family had been checked into my room. They stated they had told the FD that the room was occupied and they were instructed to go through my personal belongings, pack them up and place outside the room. The FD told me they had me listed as a "no show" however I was issued a key, they had my credit card info, my belongings were unpacked, my food in the refrigerator and I had spent the night there. So many red flags ~they put a family in a room that had not been cleaned and sanitized during a pandemic. I felt personally violated by them instructing and allowing another guests to go through my personal belongings thereby increasing my risk of exposure. They offered a smaller room to me for the night. I am still waiting for the general manager to return my call. IHG Customer Care offered 1000 points for my "inconvenience". This issue remains unresolved.. If you value your belongings, your health, your integrity DO NOT STAY HERE!!! there are so many other properties in the area. My company is just returning to travel during the pandemic they will NOT opt for IHG properties especially this place!

I was in room 102 right next to the stairwell The doors slammed and banged. Had to complain the front desk about noise from room above me ridiculous pounding and banging on the floors all night long. I will never stay on a floor in a hotel with rooms above me ever again.
