Must See
Below the streets of Nottingham is a network of man-made sandstone caves. Used in the past for housing, tanneries and air-raid shelters, they're now open to the public, with City of Caves running popular tours of this underground world. Other tours focus on Mortimer’s Hole at Nottingham Castle, while an hour's drive away you can explore the limestone gorge and Ice Age exhibits of Creswell Crags.
