Below the streets of Nottingham is a network of man-made sandstone caves. Used in the past for housing, tanneries and air-raid shelters, they're now open to the public, with City of Caves running popular tours of this underground world. Other tours focus on Mortimer’s Hole at Nottingham Castle, while an hour's drive away you can explore the limestone gorge and Ice Age exhibits of Creswell Crags.

What's New

The historic Lace Market is only 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Its grand Victorian structure was once a hub for the city's lace industry, but it's now the heart of modern Nottingham's Creative Quarter, merging with neighbouring Hockley to form a vibrant district of hip bars, restaurants and boutiques. Here you can see dynamic art at Nottingham Contemporary and live music at Motorpoint Arena.

Our onsite parking makes it easy for drivers to venture outside the city, to famous Sherwood Forest and other attractions of the surrounding countryside. Grand Elizabethan country house Wollaton Hall, less than 20 minutes drive away doubled as stately Wayne Manor in the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises". Home to Nottingham Natural History Museum, its set amid 500 acres of gardens and parkland.

Must Do

A short walk from the hotel, the grand Victorian Theatre Royal and neighbouring Royal Concert Hall present a diverse programme of performances, from popular musicals and classical concerts to stand-up comedy, acclaimed stage plays and the annual pantomime.
