The 1-hectare Aroma Garden is located in the Schwabach Valley, about 1 km from the Botanical Garden. Established in 1979 on former vegetable land with the support of spice companies, the employment office, and the city of Erlangen, the garden is now maintained by the university. It features aromatic perennials and shrubs from various cultural backgrounds. The garden houses over 100 fragrant plants with essential oils, used in cosmetics, food production, and more.
