A little bit of France, right here in the Netherlands. The Toujours is THE perfect restaurant for a romantic, cozy, tasty, and exclusive dinner. Their drinks (especially the offering of open wines) are also highly recommended and if you like it a bit less formal, then just order a few snacks at the bar.

Get down to the beach! In the middle of Haarlem there is an oasis, a real insider tip. The city beach Oerkap is open from March to October each year, offering a perfect beach day. You can build castles in the sand, sunbathe, eat some great snacks, watch theatre or music events. Feel the sand between your toes and sip from your „Jopen Life´s a beach“-beer. Fitting name? And a great taste, too. And for heaven’s sake: eat your way through the menu! You’ll love it.

This here is THE bar to do it, and you can just add it to your sightseeing tour of Haarlem. It is worth it to indulge (and it is reasonably priced). The Rock´n´Roll Champagneria Five Brothers Fat is quite something, and not uptight about it. Here, drinking champagne is just that - no fuss, really. Great: The liquid delights can be accompanied by Spanish delicacies in tapas form. Very tasty!
