The MetroCenter complex at Court and Washington streets is a two-story, 116,000-square-foot professional office building and retail hub in the middle of downtown Binghamton. Originally built in 1984 as a retail shopping center, it now houses a mix of commercial offices, professional services, and select retail tenants. Every August, over 100,000 people head to Otsiningo Park for the Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally, a three-day celebration of Binghamton's signature dish. Competing cooks fire up their best recipes in the cook-off while hot air balloons fill the sky at dawn and light up the park during the night glow.
