Have fun at Zoo Osnabrück and visit close to 3,000 animals and welcome the newest member of the elephant family, the bull Ananda. The zoo is famous for housing a grolar bear, which brought many scientific inquieries to the zoo. Young children have the chance to visit the zoo school.

Probably the most beautiful and most varied round trip in the region in every season is the Piesberg round. The approximately eight-kilometer tour around the Piesberg offers a unique blend of nature experiences, a lot of industrial culture and spectacular views.

The museum quarter unites four houses from different eras: The Felix Nussbaum House, the Museum of Cultural History, the Akziesehaus and the Villa Schlikker. Integrated into the neighborhood and particularly the Felix Nussbaum House is the 17th century stone arched bridge a structuure believed to be one of the most advanced of its time.

The Town Hall (German: Rathaus) of Osnabrück, Germany, was built in the late Gothic style from 1487 to 1512. It is one of Osnabrück's most important buildings and emblems and continues to be used as the city's town hall today. The Treaty of Westphalia was negotiated and signed by the combatants of the Thirty Years’ War at the town halls of Osnabrück and Münster in 1648.

Discover the impressive gothic hall church in the old town of Osnabrück. It was built in the first half of the 14th century and was completed about 100 years later with the construction of the lower choir and the sacristy. The Marienkirche forms an ensemble on the market square together with the town hall and the city scales.

The Botanical Garden Osnabrück is the botanical garden of the University of Osnabrück and is located in the Westerberg district in a former shell limestone quarry. It belongs to the Department of Biology / Chemistry and was opened in 1984.

The Osnabrück Castle was the episcopal residence of the Protestant Osnabrück Prince-Bishop Ernst August I of Braunschweig-Lüneburg and his wife Sophie of the Palatinate. It has been the administrative headquarters of the University of Osnabrück since 1974. The building and gardens, the sculptures in the castle gardens, including the Lyra monument, are listed buildings.

Visit the late romanesque Cathedral of St. Petrus in the heart of Osnabrück. The romanesque crossing tower, the romanesque-gothic west facade and the north front are among the most beautiful and oldest parts of the cathedral. It is very noteworthy that the dome vault in the central part of the three-aisled nave is just as high as the pillars that support it.
