The Stone Statue of Lao Tze

The Stone Statue of Lao Tze is a national key cultural relics protection site seated on the central axis of ancient Quanzhou City. It was carved out of a whole natural granite stone with 5.63m in height, 8.01m in width, 6.85m in thickness and covers a land area of 55㎡. It is the earliest and largest Taoism stone statue of Lao Tze extant in China, and is reputed as “the greatest philosopher ever”, embodying the diversified cultures of Qingyuan Mountain.

Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Area

Being one of the famous mountains in China, Qingyuan Mountain is a 5A-level national tourist attraction, a state-leveled scenic spot, and among the first batch of national natural and cultural heritage spots.

Xunpu Folk Culture Village

Thousands of years ago, the flourishing maritime trade and the blending of diverse cultures bred unique folk culture here. The oyster shell house inlaid with silver-gray oyster shell is cleverly constructed, warm in winter and cool in summer. lt is known as "the house made of bricks can last for a millennium, and the house made of oyster shell can last for ten millennium"; Wearing a hairpin with fresh flowers, a big sweater and wide trousers, the Xunpu women are also a beautiful scenery line.

Kaiyuan Temple

Kaiyuan Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian province with an area of 78,000 square meters (840,000 square feet) and also one of the very few surviving Hindu temples in mainland China. The temple, with its magnificent construction and beautiful scenery, is one of the key Buddhist Temples and national 4A-level tourist attraction and "Top Ten" scenic area in Fujian Province.

Qingjing Mosque

Built in 1009 in the style of the Islamic Chapel in Damascus, the ancient temple facing the street is one of the oldest Islamic monasteries in China. There are many existing buildings here, such as the gatehouse, the Fengtian Altar and Mingshan Hall, as well as several stone pillars, "Imperial Edict" and other inscriptions, which are the material evidence of the gathering of people, trade and cultural prosperity in Quanzhou in Song and Yuan Dynasties.
