Cancellation of one of our two rooms

Upon arrival we were advised that one of our two booked rooms had been cancelled. This had been done by central bookings without any correspondence to us. We did not cancel the room as we were a party of 5 and needed two rooms. Elise on reception was very helpful and sorted the problem for us. We had also phoned a few days before to book a swim slot but when we went to the pool they had no record of our booking. We were allowed in but it could have been a problem. We only had bed and breakfast but this was a little disappointing as limited and luke warm.

Not very disabled friendly

Although the room was clean and wheelchair friendly the flushing mechanism of the toilet was extremely difficult to use especially for someone with little strength in their handsor fingers. Having to push on a small concealed stump is an absolute no no. But the staff member thought it was not brroken.
The night I stayed was extremely cold and really did not warrant ice cold air being blown into an already cold room and with no means to be able to turn it off. I have never been so cold in my life and I lived with no bedroom heating all through my childhood when ice would form on the insides of the windows.
Being so cold and with mobility and balance problems I was not going to endanger my life by trying to warm up by having a shower.
There wasn’t even a kettle or cups for making hot drinks.
None of the staff offered to help with my wheeled small suitcase which I found difficulty with getting in and out of the lift and through doors that only just allowed my wheelchair through
I wish I could have enjoyed my experience as I am not a complainer.

Work overnight stay

I use this hotel regularly for work stays, before travelling the next day. The hotel is located for easy access to the airport which is good. On a negative note the hotel room are starting to get a bit tired and could with work over, also the food isn’t that great and has deteriorated over the last couple of months. This maybe just due to COVID and also getting everything served in cardboard boxes.

Friendly staff at this hotel

Its always a pleasure to stay at this hotel, the current global situation has provided many challenges but the hotel has met these and adapted really well. The staff here are the greatest asset and always try to help guests feel comfortable.
The reception staff are excellent, always meeting guests with a friendly smile and go the extra mile. During my long stay here Special thanks go to Cathy, Nikki, Kerry, Steph and Elise for the help and efficiency they offered.

Friendly hotel with clean rooms

The hotel is working well during the pandemic, the procedures are in place and I find it is a pleasant place to stay. The staff here are very helpful and try hard to ensure that the guests are comfortable. Elise on reception is always very helpful and meets guests with a friendly smile.
I have been very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the housekeeping staff during these difficult times, Olga and the team have continued to offer excellent service throughout the year.

Comfortable hotel, dismal dinner service

Staff helpful. Room satisfactory. Dinner service embarrassing. Had to wait 90 minutes for my meal. Not everything I ordered arrived. Restaurant was cold, had to wear a coat! Another table had to wait 1 1/4hrs to then find his order had not been recorded. He waited another 30 mins. Dreadful.

Great service, clean and comfortable bed

Exceptional Staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted by Cathy or Nicky who are excellent front of house for this hotel, as they always greet you with a smile and are very support in all your needs.
Lauren ‘O’ is very attentive during these difficult times within the Restaurant with very good knowledge of the menu with excellent recommendations.
The controls in place at this hotel make you feel comfortable during your stay.

Room was clean and service was good

The room was cleaned every day it was comfortable and the staff were friendly but and its a big but! The food was dire, it was served in a box like it was just thrown in there and any flavour was soaked up by the box! Disgusting. You want to eat food at those prices and enjoy it and it wasn't enjoyable, it would of made a totally different experience for the better with food served o disposable plates! Also there was no real choice of beer just highly expensive bottled beer so all in all not good on that part.

Cracking Stay again

Only my second review but stayed here numerous times. The reason I keep coming back? The staff. The staff in this hotel are absolutely superb. They can’t do enough to help and they make my day when I arrive with a warm welcoming smile. They remember the guests which is brilliant.

Nikki (Nik Naks), is absolutely superb and alongside the usual suspects and it makes not only my stay but also that of my team, fantastic.

Through the COVID period, they have been very firm with the rules and have set the hotel up accordingly to put everyone at ease during this period.

The ONLY thing stopping me giving 5 stars is I would love to see some EV charging points added. A more and more Electric vehicles are around, this would add to the attraction of the hotel to customers. PLEASE MAY YOU INSTALL THE HIGH SPEED FREE TO USE FOR CUSTOMERS EV charging points that all the other Holiday Inns I have stopped at have.
