The mission of the 4 Wing Cold Lake Air Force Museum (CLAFM) is to preserve and display the history from 1952 to present of 4 Wing Cold Lakeand the squadrons and units which are, or have been, stationed at or affiliated with 4 Wing Cold Lake and its antecedent formations. Located behind the Tri-City Mall, the Cold Lake Museum has recreated the history of the local area with the Aboriginal Gallery, the Heritage Gallery, the Oil and Gas Gallery, and the Air Force Gallery.

CFB Cold Lake

Cold Lake is proud to be home of the largest inland marina in western Canada. The fishing in this picturesque lake year round is second to non, whether on your own or utiliizing the services of our local experienced fishing charter providers. The marina has a large promenade, which is a great place for a leisurely stroll or to view the sailboats.

The Saddle Lake Lateral Loop project is an upgrade that will see construction of an approximately 20-inch line for 20-kilometres, which will begin at the Kent Sales Metre Station, located eight-km southwest of Cold Lake. It will tie into TC Energy’s existing natural gas system, and travel 20-km east to the Cold Lake Border Station and Cherry Grove Metre Station.

The Kinosoo Ski Ridge is located north east of Cold Lake at French Bay. It features novice and intermediate runs, chair lift, equipment rental, ski lessons, and ski patrol. There is a warm spacious chalet featuring a licensed lounge and food service.

Come immerse yourself in nature! The Cold Lake Provincial Park includes a sandy beach, 117 campsites, grass pads for tenting, and a boat launch. Explore the park by hiking, biking, or jogging along the several trails that wind their way through the area. Observation platforms are situated along the trails for bird watching, the best to be found anywhere in the Alberta.

The white sands of Kinosoo Beach stretch for three blocks along the north residentieal area of Cold Lake North. This is a great place for spending a carefree day by yourself or with your loved ones. Soak in the sun, swim, canoe! The kids will have a blast at the water park!
