South Llano River State Park is located in the Hill Country of Texas and is managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. It lies in the valley of the Llano River. The park, which consists of 507 acres along the south bank of the Llano River, opened to the public in 1990. Hicking trails, bird watching, tube rentals and the perfect place for family outing.

Texas Tech University Center at Junction is an official off-campus teaching site of Texas Tech University in Junction, Texas. It hosts undergraduate and graduate courses in an intensive three-week period format from May through July.

Junction City Park is open all year around. 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. All ages are welcome to enjoy Junction's beautiful dam, tents, picnic tables, toilets, showers, playground, and swimming pool. Also, disc golf course is available for public usage.
