The Nymphenburg Palace is a Baroque palace situated in Munich's western district Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, in Bavaria, southern Germany. The Nymphenburg served as the main summer residence for the former rulers of Bavaria of the House of Wittelsbach. Combined with the adjacent Nymphenburg Palace Park it constitutes one of the premier royal palaces of Europe. Its frontal width of 632 m (2,073 ft) (north–south axis) even surpasses Versailles.

The Gasteig in Munich is one of the largest cultural centers in Europe. It presents the outstanding works of one of the world's largest collections of European painting from the 14th to the 18th century. A fascinating excursion for children and adults. Hellabrunn Zoo was opened in 1911 and was the first geozoo in the world. Even today, around 18,500 animals still live here in a protected landscape directly on the Isar river in Munich. Over 500 exotic and native species, from giraffes to alpine ibexes and leaf-cutter ants, live here. Neuschwanstein Castle stands above Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southern Bavaria. The building was erected from 1869 for the Bavarian King Ludwig II as an idealized representation of a knight's castle from the Middle Ages.

The English Garden is one of the largest inner-city parks in the world. The Olympic Stadium is one of Munich's most spectacular buildings and was the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Today, the stadium is mainly used for open-air concerts, public viewing and motorsport races, as well as for sporting events such as the Munich Marathon.
