EXPLORE Gibraltar

Don't Go Home Without

A dolphin-watching trip is a must before going home and the most enjoyable way of seeing these fascinating mammals up close and there are several trips to choose from; three species of dolphins commonly found in the Bay of Gibraltar.

Must See

Gibraltar has attracted visitors for centuries. There can be few places in the world that equal the Rock in terms of sheer physical presence. Make sure you visit Jews’ Gate, the Mediterranean Steps, St Michael’s Cave and the famous Apes’ Den. There is enough to keep you busy for a few days while in the city and of course, enjoy a swin in the blue sea at one of our local beaches.

Must Do

The city centre is long and narrow, extending along the mile long Main Street. Much of this bustling high street has been pedestrianised as part of an overall city plan to beautify the Rock and create a pleasant environment for visitors and residents.

Local Tips

With such a small land area, many places in Gibraltar are within walking distance, however, public transportation is widely available. The famound Cable Car, running since 1966, will take you to the top of the Rock where you can witness the breathtaking views of the area and a variety public local buses cover most of Gibraltar (except for Upper Rock) from early morning until the evening.
