Don't go home without seeing how Glenpool put Tulsa on the map at one time for being the "Oil Capital of the World." On a chilly fall morning in 1905 two years before Oklahoma becomes a state – oil is discovered on the Glenn farm south of Tulsa. By the time of statehood in 1907, Glenn Pool has made Oklahoma the nation’s biggest oil producer. You can still see the oil wells pumping in the fields.

If you want to venture out of Glenpool, just 10 minutes away is the Oklahoma Aquarium. You can view local lake and river inhabitants such as the 120 year old alligator snapping turtle, pet or feed stingrays and walk through a glass tunnel under a tank that holds the largest bull shark in captivity. Don’t miss Extreme Amazon which allows kids to crawl under the water’s surface and into the tank.

Located just down Hwy 75 is Tulsa Hills Shopping Center with restaurants and shopping that will fill your afternoon. If you are looking for a place to relax outdoors with the family, then swing by the Black Gold Park. They have Charcoal Grills, 6 Gazebos and picnic tables to enjoy a picnic with the family. The kids can play on the Splash pads, Skatepark, Basketball or even Tennis courts.

Don't forget to bring your bathing suits for our indoor pool and hot tub. The temperature in Glenpool can get up to 100 degrees in the summer and below 20 degrees in the winter. If you have forgotten something important, The Wal-Mart Supercenter is right next door.
