Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable - but under renovations Was in Toronto for a week for work.... and because of my red-eye flight arriving at 05h00 on Sunday morning, I had to book an additional night since check-in wasn't until 15h00. Yet when I arrived... the hotel is under renovation, although I'm certain it will be well worth it; I wish someone would have told me this when I booked online, or when I called to inquire about my reservation and silly arrival time. The business centre was a computer & printer in the hallway of the main floor... had to login to the WiFi every 3 hours, the exercise room was locked when I wanted to get in... the coffee available was only during breakfast hours.... and unfortunately the dining room was a temporary converted meeting room with some (not all) collapsible tables and very uncomfortable chairs. Did I mention that they must have shut the water off during the day on Thursday - because when I came back to my room after work the bathroom light was on, there were no towels and when I turned on the tap the water ran black for a few minutes. I was too tired to complain and it was my last night. Of course after a long day of travel, and longer days at work coming back to a VERY COMFORTABLE BED (not kidding) was fantastic. Too bad I had to skip past the first 9 channels on the TV to find the first working channel... then skip a few more... then find 3 channels... then ... and then.... No rental channels, no rental movies and junk on TV - when I asked at the front desk, they said "yup that's what it is. We don't have an entertainment concierge system set up." I'm back in Toronto in two weeks - I've cancelled my reservation and booked elsewhere. 22 April 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It's a bed If all you need is a bed, great. Fan in bathroom so loud I actually unplugged it. Nothing to do. Fitness center, while a recent addition, is depressing. Needs a restaurant of small bar/lounge area. 14 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hotel under renovation Hotel was under construction but still front desk was functional. I was in and out due to work. Drapes do not fully cover windows so when the sun came up the room was light and was difficult to sleep. Especially once the freezing rain started on the window. 13 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellence of long term staff sometimes the choice of accommodation is not always about fancy things but rather excellence of staff and the comfort of the stay. at this location there is lobby renovation going on...and what we saw in terms of a busy day, the front desk staff handle themselves with confidence. this says a lot about the management and a good place to work. the staff are long term employees and this enhances a decision to stay at this place. there is one younger employee that requires some sensitivity training but the older staff smooth out his edges,,,, this shows teamwork. 13 April 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Construction! When the construction is complete it will be beautiful. In the mean time you will put up with fire alarms waking you, and construction noises. I'm going to wait until the place is finished before I go back! the staff are excellent and very accommodating 07 April 2015
