Our Hot Water nightmare

I rate this property :
A- for appearance
D- for accessibility - very hard to get to from the road
C- for comfort - found the bedding too soft and lumpy
B- for cleanliness- except for the cockroach on the night stand
F- for the lack of hot water - mgr even moved us to another room and it lacked hot water as well. He admitted that he was aware of the problem days before our arrival. We were not warned in advance as we should have been.
We had to cut our stay at this property a day short and find other accommodations.

Unscheduled stay from NY to TX…. Very pleasant. Room was clean, bed was comfy, the pillows were over the top (I want them in my house), TV choices were great but most of all the shower was fantastic. Great water pressure, didn’t have water all over the floor like most places. The staff was also wonderful and very friendly…

Room was dusty carpeting wasnt vacuumed and there was hair on the bathroom floor.
Sheets were questionably clean.

Poorly Handled Site

The evening staff was rude and caustic. The room had some minor problems but was very clean. The lot and lobby were very clean and well lit. The breakfast was disastrous at best…cold, overcooked, and bland. The morning staff was befuddled by questions such as, “May I have my receipt?”. As I was checking in I was told it was a no pet hotel (not that I had one) yet watched two men bring in at least two cats. I cannot on good faith recommend this location due to the staff, the breakfast, nor the fact that the room had some technical difficulties.

On arrival we were greeted like family -- immediately felt welcome and important! Cannot say enough good, positive things about this hotel.... if we are in the area again we will definitely stay here! The rooms were clean and very comfortable; the staff was amazing - from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff! Would give 10 stars if allowed!

We were in town for a funeral, and most of the staff even knew the person we had come to pay our respects to. We needed to get flowers ordered and sent, and the staff provided us with some options and advised us who they would be most likely to use. In a time when emotions are high and not knowing the area all that well, it was nice that the staff here guided us with their knowledge
