Comfortable and great service.

Great stay and polite and courteous staff upon arrival. Made every intention to make sure that the stay was a very pleasant one and greeted upon leaving and arrival every time.

Stay in Shreveport

The room itself was great! Check in was a little long. No towel service of course covid was the excuse. But overall the stay was good.

Friendly staff and very clean room.

Great stay here. The room was extremely clean and had possibly the most comfortable pillow I've ever slept on.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only cons- the internet was not good so my 12 year old couldn't use his gaming system (he was really disappointed) and the breakfast was truly dismal...the only thing available was juice, toast, and prepackaged cinnamon rolls.

The elevator closes to our room didn’t work. Then in morning no elevator worked. Me and my sister paid same price and my room was so much smaller. Staff ghetto will never return here.

Great hotel

This was a clean and nice and spacious hotel. The beds were so comfy. The showers were huge and clean and had really hot water. The only thing I had to complain about is that housekeeping didn’t come get or replace our towels since we didn’t leave them outside the door. As many times I stayed in a hotel I never had to leave towels outside the door. We were staying multiple nights that should have been addressed at Check in..so every night we had to go get clean towels so we could shower. The last night is when they mentioned leaving them outside the door. Not sure how you know if people are stealing your towels if you just throwing them out in the hall and making the hall look messy. Other than that yes I would stay here again. The ac ended up going out and they upgraded us at no charge to a suite so I am very very thankful for that and we were extremely comfortable and well rested during our stay because we were getting up early in the morning and getting back late at night because we were showing livestock at the state fair.

Friendly staff but...

The staff was very friendly but the problem was that the hotel has a area and that has a good variety of snacks and beverages but they don’t have a cash drawer to make change. You must either have correct change or charge it to the room. Told them to keep the change that evening and the next morning the lady just gave me my beverage since I didn’t have correct change. Very nice and she was sincere. She gave no excuses for no change she just wanted to make sure I had what I wanted. I’m not a coffee person. I have to have my coke. I’m sure I didn’t have a smile on my face but hen I realized I was not going to have my morning jolt of coke. But her quick decision to just offer it to me since it wasn’t her fault or mine. It really turned my mood around and put a smile o my face. It gave me hope of a good day. It was a nice stay I just wondered why have a snack area to purchase items if you don’t have the ability to make change.

Hotel closed but didn't notify me so I could change reservations.

I would chose 0 out of 5 if that were possible.
I had a reservation for a room for a business trip standing for a bit more than a month. I was travelling from a work site in Alabama to my home back in Texas and my company mandates a maximum of 8 hours driving per day. Shreveport was right at 8 hours away from the worksite, so I chose this Holiday Inn Express. When I rolled into the parking lot after 8 hours of driving I found out that the hotel was completely empty, lobby lights on but doors locked. I banged on the door, but no one was there. From the parking lot I tried calling the hotel's local number, it rang with no pick ups. I called the IGH Rewards customer service number and the operator tried calling the same local number and basically said they couldn't do anything else for me since the Guest Relations office had already closed. Couldn't really confirm that the hotel was closed. Couldn't cancel my reservation for a hotel that was not open. Couldn't help me find another room somewhere in town. Nothing. It was about 8:30pm, raining, and I was left in the lurch. I tried a couple other numbers in town, but couldn't find another hotel at per diem, so I went ahead and drove another 4 1/2 hours home.

The next morning, I called Guest Relations. I explained everything again. They also tried to contact the Shreveport HIE, and was able it confirm that it was closed due to Covid. I can understand that services might get suspended or limited due to the pandemic, but not cancelling standing reservations or letting those holding them know they weren't open is pretty negligent. The Guest Relations person was able to confirm that they would put in for my reservation be cancelled out when the hotel reopened on Oct 15th and the deposit would returned to me withing 90 days following that. Are you kidding? IHG is incapable of taking care of customers on a timeframe of less than 3 months?

I am very unsatisfied with the Shreveport Holiday Inn Express specifically and the IHG Customer Service/Guest Relations in general. I am doubtful of any continued relations.
