Under construction, pool out of service and no hot water in the room jacuzzi/shower. One of the worst experiences I've had in a while. Also paid a pretty penny for a bad service. I tried switching rooms and it was the same situation. Don't waste your time here.

Has management issues

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights - from 9/19 through 9/28. I'm from Detroit and came in as a volunteer to assist with a group providing relief for people affected by Harvey. I chose to stay at Holiday Inn Express because my past experiences with Holiday Inn Express have been great.

This particular hotel was disappointing.
~The breakfast area is being remodeled, but no work had taken place throughout the full duration of time I was there.
~ Hallway floors were dirty.
~ The room was given had an A/C unit that was extremely noisy and I was changed to a different room without a problem.
~ The bathroom waste basket in the next room I was given had not been emptied and was full of items from the prior guest.
~ On 9/24 and 9/25 there was no hot water in the entire hotel. The person at the front desk said they had run out of propane. That is a management issue. I was offered some reward points for the first day and promised additional reward points for the 2nd day. I had asked about this twice on two different days but additional points for the 2nd day have not shown on my account. I noticed that another reviewer was offered an adjustment on his bill - I didn't receive that offer but would have preferred that to points.
~ On 9/24, the waste basket was not emptied again so I left it in the middle of the floor the following morning so it was sure to be noticed.
~ I used my last towel on 9/25 and was told they were running short since there was no hot water or driers due to the lack of propane.
~ Staff was not what I have come to expect at Holiday Inn Express hotels. I had tried calling the hotel a couple times during the days I was in the area and the phone was never answered. On two evenings, when I returned to the hotel, the only front desk person was outdoors on her cell phone and having a smoke. One of those times, the phone at the desk was ringing. Most locations have very pleasant people in the breakfast area - this one wouldn't say a word unless spoken to.
~ Since it was just me, I didn't need clean sheets every day, but they were not changed during the entire 10 nights' stay.

I am not usually one to voice complaints, but my experience here was not up to par with Holiday Inn Express standards.

Late check in

This was a very unpleasant stay in a kind of remote west Texas location. The check in took ages even all data and membership information has been provided by with the online booking. Finally after receiving the key card we entered a dirty room, food leftover on the floor, bathroom not done, dirty toilet etc. Traveling with two baby's and knowing that was the last room we decided not to complain about at the time of check in (0200 am) as there clerk was very overwhelmed was the work that the check in already. We mentioned the situation next morning after having been asked if everything wad fine and received the simple answer that the manager will call us back which apparently never happened. Long story short, don't go there if you don't have to.

A week to never forget

Staff over worked and not knowledgeable in alot of area's Sarah and Briana did there best to answer question and to make things right, always stayed professional. Thank you.
Hotel needs to be cleaned daily and sheets and towels need to be replaced asap. Old stained sheets and stained towels are not acceptable. Need to order soaps, shampoo ,conditioners and Toilet paper so they dont run out. Need walkin handicap showers or handicap seats over tubs which they do not have installed.(only bars). This hotel needs a General manager who can run a Hotel Bussiness.

HORRIBLE

Horrible.. worst hotel ever . Hurricane Harvey (11days ago) can not be blamed for the following:

- High price a night for the following:

- checked in At 7pm and room had to be "checked if ready"

- could not have my own room key card because they did not have keys.

-room was filthy. A KFC cup was on the ground and bed looked like it was just slept in

-light out in the bathroom
- only one towel in bathroom
-no soap
- no K cups,
- no water pressure, toliet didn't flush,

I am a Spire Elite member and am seriously thinking about staying With another chain from now on.

I also had to resubmit this review multiple times due to them guiding what you can write in a review

Poor customer service, smoke alwarms activating during the middle of the night, no elevator. Trash dumpster not cover and debris covered our vehicles. Inflated prices.

Granted that the house was dealing with the aftermath of a hurricane the management was way behind the power curve. Rooms not ready at 6 or 7 pm, elevators not working due to renovations. Sorry, but not up to Holiday Inn standards. Worst Holiday Inn experience ever!

From the moment we arrived staff was very inviting. Everything was clean and comfortable. As a rewards member I was offered extended check-out hours which was awesome! The beds are comfortable and the room was really nice. Staff was awesome!

My stay in Beeville was an excellent experience. The hotel overlooked rolling hills that provided a relaxing feeling after a stressful business day. The business center provided a private atmosphere to work in. Coffee was available at 6:00 am in the eating area. Eating locations were in close proximity to the hotel. Would highly recommend this location to people visiting the Beeville area.
