Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fall From Grace I used to travel for my work & was a Platinum Member while doing so. I haven't traveled in a few years, but have had to lately. Most HIEx treat you equally well regardless of your membership status, though I understand different levels earn different points & such. Not only was I NOT even recognized as a member with no points or gift bag, the vending machines didn't work & the front staff weren't really interested in making you feel welcome. We are back here again this week & my wife told me to be sure & ask about my points. I was told I was only a club member & don't get points or a bag at checkin. That's all fine & good, but I thought regardless of my fall in status I was still supposed to be greeted as a member. My boss has been a Platinum all along & he didn't even get the room, not even the floor, he requested in advance. It was supposed to have already been assigned. It seems not all Holiday Inns are as interested in keeping up the standards as most. We will stay here regardless of this, but thought you should know. May 6, 2015
