Problems with water from overflow above

Had an ADA shower accessible room the people above overflowed a tub. I notified the front desk. I was moved in the middle of the night. The shower in that room had a tub with extremely high sides so I was given another ADA shower room so moved again. This room shower flowed into the rest of the bathroom where the sink is with no shower curtain. I had to clean up water each day. The hotel gave us the ADA fee refund and 50% for one night. This was extremely stingy for all the inconvenience as a guest in what is supposed to be a very nice hotel. And my being awake at 1 am to report the water saved the hotel ceiling no doubt. The manager only offered the second ADA room after we persisted and then there was one available. I think this was very poor handling of this situation.
The carpet in the rooms is very dirty.
The food in the hotel restaurant if very expensive.
Overall, very disappointing.
The staff is friendly but when a problem arose, they were not good. Some helped move etc. but handling the reimbursement as a favor to us was not right.

The shower curtain was moldy and the carpet was dirty. Dirt stuck to our socks. Staff must not vacuum between customers.
Daily service is no longer done and so we have to ask for clean towels and coffee. Sometimes this was possible and other times not.
For example, requested towels and wash cloths but were given just 2 bath towels. We waited 20 minutes for these and it was our check out day.
Things like this do not make for a great stay.
The mattress was pillow top and way to soft.
The hotel is very nicely decorated and has everything you need. Most of the employees were friendly.
One of the Worst Hotel Experiences I’ve Ever Had – Completely Ignored by IHG

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room at all, which completely disrupted my work trip. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, I wasn’t met with concern or solutions, I was accused of lying.
There was zero professionalism or hospitality. The staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly had no intention of helping. No workaround was offered. No apology. Just gaslighting and blame. I left feeling disrespected and deeply frustrated.
This wasn’t just about a faulty amenity, it was about how I was treated as a paying guest. The bare minimum of customer service wasn’t even attempted. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or devalued at a hotel.
If you expect working amenities and basic decency from hotel staff, look elsewhere. This property failed on every level.

We were pleasantly surprised to have such a nice hotel with great amenities located close to the park. The pool and jacuzzi were refreshing after a long day hiking.

The staff throughout were quite friendly. We were especially grateful for the knowledge and helpfulness of the gift shop staff. We appreciated the quiet, comfortable space outside the restaurant where we were able to enjoy a wood burning fireplace.
Beautiful hotel and excellent service! Amenities were wonderful and location excellent.

Excellent choice for travelers going to visit the Grand Canyon. Very convenient location, and beautiful accommodations. Nice for couples and families. Options for upscale dinner or casual dining, breakfast buffet was very good, and there are fun things to do for all (arcade, s’mores, etc.). Highly recommend!

If you need a room close this is your place. Otherwise save your money. I’ve stayed at 2 stars that were like this. Rooms were not comfortable and were dated. Bed was hard. Just did not like room at all. Staff was ok

You get a lot of amenities for the price, considering this is a very highly visited tourist area. Many of the amenities will help keep your children busy, but keep in mind, that also means there will be children running around the halls yelling, banging on doors Etc. We had a clogged toilet, told the front desk and no one ever came up to fix it. Our bank card didn't work in the self-serve store or in the laundry for some reason. The people at the front desk have no idea how to help you other than checking in and checking out. We lost our car keys, and they had no idea if there was a lost and found, no idea how to call a locksmith AAA or an Uber or a taxi. It was crazy. At check-in we asked about a concierge to book activities (at the time I booked the hotel, the website said there was a concierge desk), we were told there was no concierge. After walking around the hotel we realized there are e-bikes to rent, but they were all booked up by the time we figured it out. If the guy at the front desk would have just mentioned it to us, we might have booked one right away. They also don't have a good handle on their breakfast buffet. There's often a long wait and they are understaffed. I think a lot of the problem is that we booked right around the time they were changing from Squire to Holiday Inn. By next year they might be a little better. The pluses are the other amenities. The food is really good, our waitress was excellent at in the main restaurant, the pool is nice, and extra things to keep kids busy like s'mores, movie night, and the arcade are excellent ideas.

If it weren't for the specific room we were given, this would be a 5 star rating review with nothing but good things to say.
But, we were given room 2124. This room is all alone in the entry corridor of the building we were in - there are no other rooms by it.
This was by far the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in in my entire life.
The entry door to the building is less than 5 feet away from this room's window. There were people coming in and going out of this door all night long, with the door slamming shut, and often times wheeling their luggage on the cobblestone walkway right outside our window.
People also congregated and talked right by our door, because it looked like an empty hallway with no rooms. We could hear every word of people's conversations. I really hope Ron and his wife (I didn't catch her name) figured out what to do at 6:15 AM - Ron wanted to go to the Grand Canyon first thing to beat the crowds, while his wife wanted to eat breakfast at the restaurant here at the hotel and go to the canyon a little later.
But the pièce de résistance was the fact that the ice machine was directly across from our door. I could literally touch the ice machine with one hand and our door with the other. People get a lot of ice at all hours of the night. And people going to the Grand Canyon early (like 4 AM - 7 AM) get even more ice. Have you ever noticed how loud an ice machine is when it is used?
Needless to say we got zero sleep to be ready for our one day at the Grand Canyon.
There is no way we have been the first guests to stay in this particular room, and I am 100% sure other guests have complained about the noise in this uniquely located room. Please, for the sake and sanity of future guests, DO NOT ever give out room 2124 again!

We had a great time at this resort. The hotel itself is probably one of the nicest ones in the area-- we liked the bright, welcoming lobby with Starbucks coffee machine, waterfall, and spiral staircases. We enjoyed bowling, the game room, and the family game room upstairs with our three kids. One night we were able to roast smores outside, which the kids were THRILLED about. The outdoor pool and play area was great too. Our room with a king + bunk beds was very spacious and clean-- a welcome retreat to relax in and get a great nights rest in, after a day of fun/hiking!
The only con: The restaurants were so slow and busy the two times we dined for dinner, both at the sports bar and at the lobby adjacent restaurant (they share a kitchen and kids' menu). The food, however, was delicious once it came out! Our kids all ate very well, too, and they aren't the easiest to please most of the time.
We made such great family memories this trip-- and we would return to this hotel in a heartbeat, as long as the price fits our budget at the time!

Great location, clean and comfortable room, and nice amenities. I didn’t appreciate the Cleaning Lady coming into our room mid afternoon while we were napping (woke up super early for the sunrise) despite having the do-not-disturb sign on our door. I also wasn’t a fan of the paying $25/day for basic resort amenities (pool, ping pong) that they added at check in (yes now I see it was in the fine print, but still wasn’t made apparent to me at the time of booking.) If they are mandatory charges for everyone, why not just build them into the price instead of making it a surprise add on at check in?! Other than that it was a pleasant stay and served our purpose well of being close to the park so we could hop in and out for the sunrise and sunset.
