Worst check-out experience

When I requested a late check-out, as Diamond Member, the General Manager simply said “no,” as if I were a first-time guest rather than a loyal member of the brand he represents. That response was very disappointing.

Later, when I was informed that I would be charged for an additional night, I accepted the charge but requested a receipt — which was denied. This prompted me to contact IHG directly. First, I was told my request was made after 3 p.m., then I was told it had to be made before 2 p.m. My request were mada at 2.55pm.

I have never encountered such inconsistency before. I understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly, but I would expect a brand of this reputation to handle loyal members with more clarity and professionalism.

Check in was great, Shantel (sorry if misspelled) was great.
The room was right by the elevator which wasn't desirable. It seemed like many open rooms on the floor, seems like a noisy room would be given out last. I had a reservation.
I noticed employees working about throughout stay. The worst employee that I encountered was the checkout desk clerk. She wasn't wearing a nametag. She was on a personal call and didn't acknowledge me at first then basically asked what I wanted while still on her call. She started typing on the computer then ended her call. She never said anything acknowledging me with customer service skills. She literally dug her finger in her ear the whole time we were waiting on completed screens and paperwork. It was gross and very unprofessional.
My only other complaint is about the coffee, not good. Coffee is important to me and it would be nice to not have to go out of the hotel looking for a good cup. The set up at the coffee bar looked nice but offered weak tasteless coffee with the only milk option being artificial. Little half half cups or whole milk would go a long way.
Breakfast was better than I expected. Served grab and go style. I liked having a yogurt brand that I would eat at home.
Other than those 2 negative things, it was a pleasant stay.

This was our first stay at a Avid hotel even though we a loyal IHG fans. We were pleasantly surprised. The room, although small, was very clean as was the bathroom. Since it was a one night stay while we were traveling it was sufficient for a restful night. The front desk personnel were pleasant to deal with and made check-in quick. I found the breakfast lacking but the coffee was very good. The one disappointment was no coffee service in the room which is common in almost every hotel these days. Overall, a good value for your money and worth a stay as long as you are not expecting Ritz-Carlton amenities.

Everything was clean and tidy. The internet was fast enough to check work e-mails but not fast enough to watch streaming on my laptop without buffering.

For a new hotel the furniture should not have been stained. Housekeeping should’ve also done a more thorough job. It was obvious they did just enough to flip the room.

Great location, clean hotel with a simple complimentary breakfast with plenty of choices. Bed was comfy, pillows could have been better. Bathroom was clean and love the Dove products provided. Nice staff except for the one female in the morning who checked me out. Very rude and seemed bothered she had to do her job and step back inside from her smoke break.
