The room was comfortable, the staffs are nice, good services.
But the breakfast menu is always the same everyday, perhaps need more variation on the menu.

We spent five nights at the Holiday Inn Vanuatu following the earthquake. We turned up without reservations and they were so welcoming. While we waited for rooms to be made safe, they brought seats for us to sit in the shade, gave us drinks, fruit and cake. Rashmi, Randy, and all the staff are amazing. They were in contact with DFAT, the Australian High Commission, and the airlines, and gave us regular updates regarding flights etc. Even though all communications on the island were down, they managed to organise a connection for us, enabling us to inform family that we were okay. Despite the most difficult of circumstances, they served us three lovely meals a day and plenty of drinks/bottled water, etc. The amazing care we received from Rashmi and staff, and Randy's sense of humour, kept our spirits up. They even had live entertainment one night (sorry I don't know her name - lady with incredible voice). Holiday Inn is a lovely resort with beautiful pools and restaurants. I look forward to staying there again during less challenging times. Rashmi and Randy, I can't thank you enough for everything you did for us!
Worst Experience at IHG Vanuatu – A Tale of Favoritism and Neglect!

If you’re looking for a hospitality experience that redefines bias and neglect, look no further than IHG Vanuatu! Our stay from December 16-24 to December 17-24 started off decent until an earthquake struck. While the hotel staff worked tirelessly to manage the crisis—kudos to them for their genuine effort—our real issue began with the hotel’s General Manager, Rashmi, who deserves a special mention for her stellar display of favoritism.
Rashmi, who is of Indian heritage (like us), decided that her priorities lay elsewhere. While she showered other nationalities with hugs, reassurances, and endless chit-chat, we were treated like the invisible guests. Despite the fact that we expressed concerns about being left out of crucial updates—especially on how to get back home—she chose to ignore us entirely. Side-eye glances became her only acknowledgment of our existence.
To make matters worse, we had our 1-year-old baby with us, but apparently, even that didn’t earn us an ounce of compassion. Forget a check-in to see if we were managing—why bother, right? After all, Rashmi was too busy playing host of the year to others. It’s baffling how someone in hospitality can operate with such blatant disregard for impartiality.
The cherry on top? We had to contact our own authorities to sort out our evacuation because, clearly, Rashmi and her team couldn’t care less.
Sure, you might find glowing reviews from others. But hey, they were the chosen ones! If you’re not a part of her preferred circle, good luck surviving on scraps of indifference.
In conclusion, Rashmi, here’s a pro tip: Hospitality is not about hugging and consoling select guests while ignoring others. Try impartiality—it’s a great look for a General Manager.
Thank you, IHG Vanuatu, for showing us the real meaning of “selective care.” Never again.
A super relaxing stay

This Holiday Inn is a long time favourite that’s well located relative to the centre of town but with enough space for 2 pools and room to wander around the grounds. The main foyer area has a wonderful towering curved timber roof in the Vanuatu style, and which proved to be extremely resistant during a recent earthquake. The staff are really excellent, so happy to be there and they even remember my name as they greet me. The managers also take feedback seriously, they recently replaced the mattresses and even remembered my suggestion to marinate the breakfast Minute Steaks for a tender flavour experience.

Stayed 4 nights but only refilled bottle water 1 time. I requested from receptionist but no one came and refilled so I bought from hotel restaurant. Hotel abit old but they are upgrading which is good. I am seafood lover, but they only have salmon in the menu. If local seafood can be included in the menu will be great. Thanks for room upgrade.

The hotel in Port Vila, Vanuatu, is the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The rooms are very comfortable, providing excellent conditions for rest and a good night's sleep. The view of the garden is beautiful, adding an extra charm to the place. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, and the staff were friendly and always helpful. A special shout-out to the front desk manager, who took exceptional care of the guests and their comfort. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Port Vila.

We had the best time at the Holiday Inn Resort in Port Vila. Special mention to William and Sam for making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
We had the King Resort Room with a balcony (317). We spent many hours just sitting in the balcony enjoying the view and peacefulness of the surroundings. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Food in the restaurant was really good. Try their pizza and their special Combination Seafood in Coconut Soup. We had this every night that we were there. Serving is very generous. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly.
Breakfast buffet was excellent. There's plenty of choices for everyone. They also have an egg station so you can get your eggs freshly cooked and done just the way you want them.
They also have a resident local artist at the resort who sells her handiwork at the bottom of the stairs going into the restaurant. Miriam is super friendly and very interesting to talk to. I bought a pair of her handpainted batwing cotton tops. I get so many compliments every time I wear them. I wish I bought more.
They are renovating their main pool at the moment but we were there on a weekend so there wasn't any construction noise. The Terrace Pool is just as lovely and with equally good views.
Location was convenient for us. You can a taxi into town for only VUV1000 ($30) or go on a local bus for VUV150 ($3). We walked to town and to the market one day and it only took us 20 minutes of leisurely walk with plenty of photo stops. The resort is near the big houses for expats and the Japanese Ambassador's house was just nearby.
The real asset of the resort is its staff. They were so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our many chats with William and Sam at the foyer.
We highly recommend the Holiday Inn Resort Port Vila.
Very disappointed in the water facilities as a family we would not chosen the title because of it At this time

We were contacts two weeks before we went so there was no no changing of hotel because of the pool construction and night and when we arrive we were told that the lagoon was contaminated so no other watersport could be done and then is the only downfall of Holiday Inn. I understand about the pool and renovations but having a lagoon that we can’t swim in was very disappointing specially when you’re there the Price was too much for what it was for what we got for.

Loved the hotel as usual in overall sense. Recommended that the gym needs some more equipment as I have been traveling regularly to Port Vila.
