Air Conditioning!

Apparently the air conditioning on the second and third floors has not functioned properly since the wildfires which led to my 3rd floor room being almost unbearably warm. To be fair, it was stuck at about 75 degrees, which I'm sure is tolerable for some, but I'm a 65 degree hotel room sleeper, so it may not apply to everyone. Lol Otherwise a great stay. I was able to overlook the furnace of a room due to the overwhelming hospitality of the staff. They're doing great work, give them some bonuses!

Too many things (soda and ice machines) were marked with "OUT OF ORDER" signs

The hot water was DOA two mornings in a row! Front doors were ineffective at keeping the cold outside. One wouldn't close for hours. While the staff was generally attentive and responsive, it's obvious management was letting the property go downhill. Someone with authority needs to set the appropriate tone for facility maintenance.

Cannot rave enough about the service at The Lodge at Big Bear Lake. Recently had two rooms during Spring Break and brought extended family over New Year's week with five rooms and suites. Each time Deron and Stephanie have taken care of helping us with special requests and banquet rooms and so many other details to make us want to come back again and again. The hotel is right at the beginning of the village street where all of the finest restaurants and stores are located. And only a ten minute drive to ski slopes. Hotel has ample parking and a delightful restaurant on the premises with a full bar. Have stayed at different hotels in Big Bear and The Lodge at Big Bear I feel is the finest all around hotel in town. Thanks Deron and Stephanie- look forward to my next stay!

Pool closed

This is the second time I've stayed at this property when the pool and hot tub were closed even though there was no mention of this on their website. Pretty disappointed in the grounds of this property. There is a very nice patio to enjoy the outdoors here but there was absolutely no furniture out until we had to ask and got the runaround several times before the pool furniture came out. I understand it was between seasons but those are easy problems to fix

Fire at hotel

We have used this hotel for ten years. We loved the location. During this stay there was a fire in the hotel and the staff was laughing. No evacuation plan. Very unprofessional. We had to leave in middle of the night and still have not been reimbursed. Also we left AirPods in room and called front office about getting them back and they said they could not help us. This to seemed funny to them. They lost life long customers.

I buy 1 night for 2 bedrooms breakfast included. At the check in no one give us a voucher for breakfast just tell us to go directly to the restaurant.

I buy 1 night for 2 bedrooms breakfast included. At the check in no one give us a voucher for breakfast just tell us to go directly to the restaurant. Next morning at the restaurant they told us no breakfast without a voucher from the hotel, we went front desk and the person refuse to give them to us just saying there was no manager, that we need to wait for one after 10am, when there's no breakfast anymore, and that she cannot even call anyone. That she can't do nothing.

Waited 30 mins twice to even have someone to talk to at the front desk no one answering phones asked several times for our room to be clean and 6 hrs later no one came so I asked again if they could help to just come take out the trash and bring us new towels . I shouldn’t have to beg for that . The room never got below 80 we were in tank tops and shorts our daughters were so uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep and we called down again no answer . The last day when I wanted to complain about everything she told me no one was available to help me .it was embarrassing and I had to wait for 45 mins in the lobby just to get that response. She gave me a card and told me to call the manager every time I called no one was there again!!! Just a really bad experience sad cause I try to stay loyal to IHG but won’t be staying at this property ever again . Also the toilet ran all night and the water smelled of sulfur the whole time .
