Tangkuban Perahu Crater
Tangkuban Perahu is a volcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung. The name translates roughly to "upturning of (a) boat” in Sundanese, referring to the local legend of its creation. The legend tells about the struggle of a handsome young man Sangkuriang, who fell in love with a beautiful young woman named Dayang Sumbi. She turned out to be his own mother who had been blessed with eternal youth and beauty when she was born. A story of forbidden love between mother and son. The story of Sangkuriang and Dayang Sumbi is a well known legend, particularly in Sundanese society, West Java and also all of Indonesia. Tangkuban Perahu is a popular tourist attraction where visitors can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs.

Museum of The Asian – African Conference
Bandung is a right place to find buildings with a strong architectural art deco feel. Gedung Merdeka (Independence Building) stands at the corner majestically, it was the venue of the 1955 Asian–African Conference. Built in 1895 as a club house for the wealthy, it was first named the Concordia Society. It is now used as a museum of Asian-African Conference. The ceremonial programs and the pinnacle of the 60th Commemoration Asian-African conference in Bandung on April 2015 centered at Gedung Merdeka where the historic Asian- African Conference took place exactly 60 years ago.
