Todos Santos Pueblo Magico

Todos Santos is a desert oasis perched on a coastal mesa between the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and the Pacific. Known as Baja's only "Pueblo Mágico" on the ocean, it blends artistic energy and centuries-old traditions with modern charm. Mango groves, palm-filled streets, and nearby white-sand beaches create a serene backdrop for galleries, boutiques, farm-to-table dining, and vibrant cultural festivals.

Places To Explore

Sierra de La Laguna

Rising above the desert and the sea, the Sierra de La Laguna Biosphere Reserve is one of Baja's most extraordinary natural sanctuaries. Often called "the island of the sky," this protected region shelters flora, crystalline springs, pine and oak forests, and sweeping mountain vistas. Travelers can hike through shifting ecosystems, encounter diverse wildlife, and explore hidden canyons and waterfalls. It's a striking contrast to the coast, and a profound immersion in the region's wild beauty.

Whale Watching

From late fall through early spring, the waters off Todos Santos become one of Baja’s most spectacular wildlife stages as gray and humpback whales migrate along the Pacific. Visitors can often spot them breaching from shore or join guided excursions for a closer look at these majestic giants. Calves learning to swim, mothers gliding beside them, and powerful tail slaps against the water create unforgettable sightings. It’s one of the region’s most magical and humbling natural experiences.

Punta Lobos Beach

Just south of Todos Santos, Punta Lobos is a sweeping, walkable beach known for its fishing heritage and dramatic Pacific scenery. At dawn, local fishermen launch their panga boats from the shore, continuing a tradition passed down through generations. The beach is perfect for long coastal walks, whale watching during migration season, horseback rides, and surf sessions. Its blend of rugged landscape and authentic local culture makes it one of the region's must-visit spots.

Surfing & Water Adventures

The Todos Santos area is a magnet for surfers and ocean lovers, with world-class breaks and unforgettable sunsets. While beaches near town have powerful shore breaks and strong riptides, just south in Pescadero and Playa Cerritos you’ll find gentler waves ideal for lessons, long rides, and fun in the water. Visitors can join guided surf sessions, paddleboard tours, or simply watch the evening light from the sand—cocktail in hand—while the Pacific puts on a show.
