Desk clerk / manger more interested in talking to / flirting with the "guys" in the lobby than checking my 81 year old mother and step-father in the room. Once in the room, the stove was not working. The hotel staff made no offer to move them to another room with a working stove....nor did they have anyone fix the stove in their room the 2 days they stayed there. November 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Perfect Getaway! During my recent stay, it was such a pleasant experience to just relax , after taking care of some stressful business. I was able to come back to my room, and just meditate and relax in complete privacy. I needed the peace and quite setting, for complete peace of mind. A special Thank You, to Aaliyan at check-in, for her professionalism and pleasant personality; and to Chase for his professional assistance during my stay. The management team were awesome, to mention Athena, who assisted Chase at check-out. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value We stayed at the hotel for 1 week and found it to be very satisfactory for our needs which was to have a place to sleep at night. We generally got in late at night and left early in the morning. The room was large and comfortable. There was easy access to the freeways and was only about 30 minutes from New Orleans. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Gulf Shore Hotel This is a decent, clean and comfortable hotel located on the gulf Gulf Coast North Shore. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc. The hotel does not charge a fee for pets if you're staying less than a week, which is absolutely how it should be (I wish every Candlewood would treat pet owners with the same courtesy). The front desk staff are very courteous and helpful also. October 28, 2014
