Always happy with the room and service. For some reason this time they put us in a handicap room which I wasn't overly happy with, I feel that the handicap room should be reserved for those that need it. The bathroom didnt have a vanity because the sink is set for a wheelshare to go under it. In the future we will request a non handicap room. Queit Comfortable Clean Good value for the money.

There is a huge shopping area in front from where you can supply whatever and cook in the room.

I'd like to thank the staff for everything. They helped make my stay more enjoyable, compared to other candlewoods I have stayed at in the past.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and luckily have a corporate rate because the standard price is far too high for what you get. I Consistently find food on the floor in all rooms I have been in, clearly not vacuumed. I also have come back to the room door open after the cleaning service had come in, found old food in the fridge from someone else's previous stay and other tidbits. I have a feeling the cleaning service is the culprit behind the uncleanly feel.

Having a full refrigerator and stove with pots and pans is a real benefit for someone on a diet so you don't have to eat out.

We stayed at this location because they had rooms blocked for a wedding we were attending nearby. We could not have been happier if we had chosen the site ourselves. Everything was very, very clean, including the common areas which are often the hardest areas to maintain. However, this is a suite-style hotel with weekly, not daily, maid service, so if you're planning to trash the room and hope someone will pick up after you daily and make your bed each morning and leave chocolates on your pillow each night when they turn down your covers, this is not the place for you. However, if you want a very clean, comfortable room with lots of work space and a full-size refrigerator and the ability to make meals for yourself in your room, you've come to the right place. It's close to all kinds of shopping as well as easy highway access and not far from all the interesting things in St. Joseph. Next time we're here, we won't need to shop for lodging. We'll stay here.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Travel Monkey Inhospitable staff, thin walls, noisy, one slow elevator, missing basics
Beautiful looking hotel. Service is not friendly or warm. Couldn't sleep well due to thin walls, noisy upstairs guest, ability to hear others' televisions, etc. Cheapest shampoo/conditioner combo in bath, no lotion, no ice on floor or pop machine--lack of many standard convenineces found in other hotels at same or even lower prices. Short recliner that closes whenever you move. Short queen bed. We are under six feet tall and our legs/feet hung off end of bed. Not given requested 4th floor room because the other guest decided to extend their staythat day even though I booked over a week in advance -can't they move that guest who changed THEIR mind? Lobby full of construction workers for new hotel across the street -yeah for new hotel- so no one else could sit in the lobby as it was their "hangout". Loud and mean maids who complained about the guests in room next door and their body odor. So loud that I had to tell them to "hold it down" in the morning--no tip for nasty remarks about other guests. No eating table in room. Not a friendly employee in the place! No free breakfast. Felt small and cramped in lobby with no breakfast or relaxation area except for the two couches filled with the construction workers. They allow pets--didn't know that--wouldn't think so in a new hotel that doesn't allow smoking -stinky- that they would allow pets-dirty. Not impressed. New but not nice. Everything seemed cheap and minimal. TWO forks in room with dishwasher. Ha! Not for extended stays, obviously unless you reuse your silverware or constantly run the dishwasher. When you walk down the hall, you can hear through everyone's doors, either the television or their conversation--word for word! Not going back! If you can't sleep due to noise and the place lacks even the most basic items, what are you paying for? One word: MISERY!
