I had never heard of EVEN Hotels before my recent trip to Rockville, MD. I stumbled onto them via one of the online booking services and couldn't believe my good fortune. For about the price of a two-star discount chain hotel I walked into a health conscious traveler's paradise, with an awesome gym right off the lobby, in-room stretching and exercise equipment, a water bar (!) in front of the main elevator entrance, and a lounge area complete with multiple Mac computers for guest use. As I had to work until fairly late every night, I did not have much opportunity to socialize at the inviting common area during happy hour-type festivities, but every time I passed through the lobby others appeared to be really enjoying themselves. Similarly, I did not have time to really use the gym, but it looked exceptional by the standards of hotels in my price range. My room was clean and my bed fantastic and I slept like a baby -- better than I do in my own home. My only quibbles: I did not like the frosted glass sliding door to the bathroom entrance, and I can't believe that with all this attention to detail there was no exhaust fan. The variety of coffees offered in the lobby is a nice touch, but a complimentary Continental breakfast would have been "Even" nicer, as would an in-room microwave. Overall, however, I was delighted with my stay and will return whenever I am in the Rockville/DC area, provided the hotel's popularity doesn't nudge it out of my price range.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Hotel is nice, staff needs to be trained better
I've stayed at this hotel twice now, but probably won't again. There's nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The rooms are clean, it's a great concept with the health and wellness, and it's reasonably located to DC.
My issue is with their staff. Just a clumsy check in experience both times (same with checking out) they seem unsure of themselves and what they can do.
Finally, a simple issue like checking if I'd forgotten something in the room after I'd left resulted in me having to call 4 times, resort to asking for a manager, and being told that none was onsite. Pretty frustrating overall....

Love this hotel. Very modern and clean. The Staff is amazing. If you are into wellness and fitness this hotel has extra added value for you. In a great location with shopping within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel

Awesome hotel. I had the opportunity to stay here the week before the grand opening event and it was an amazingly comfortable experience. I room exercise space and in house exercise videos were well designed and put to good use during y stay. The hotels gym facilities are top notch and the lounge area is pretty amazing. A little off the beaten path but worth journey.
100% recommend and would stay there again.

But even if you're not into wellness, it's still a great hotel at a great price.
Roomy, clean, comfortable. Only complaint is that the closet in my room was pretty small and at the opposite side of the room from the entrance so it would have been nice to have some coat hooks on the wall by the entry. Maybe a little table there, too. And/or a luggage rack.

Hotel is great if your a fitness nut. Between the gym, the in-room fitness equipment and health snacks at the store this hotel is great. I had a great stay.
