Great room and good location.
Even during the Big Blizzard, the hotel keep it up. Restaurant and bar are open as usual. Big applaud for the team!

The location is pretty convenient. It didn't take me too long to walk to Convention center and White House. The staffs were friendly but the hotel was a bit outdated. Maybe because I got a room for the handicap, the bathroom design looked pretty old fashioned, like in 80's. Be aware of the parking fee. For my stay, it was $31 plus tax per day.

I am a frequent guest of Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express properties throughout the US and this was by far one of the worst experiences.
Upon arriving and being given my first room I went to my room only to find it had been occupied/door open and tv on. Apparently, after staff investigated another staff (snowed in) stayed in the room but it hadn't been cleaned or refreshed prior to giving it to me! I went back to the desk for a new room.
When walking off the escalator I commented to my friend that it smelled of cigarette smoke. Fast forward a couple of hours and I felt like I was laying in an ashtray. The hallway was thick with smoke and my room smelled terrible. I did not call down to the front desk bc 1. it was late and 2. I did not feel like switching rooms again. I put a towel under the door to block the hallway.
After waking up in the morning my eyes were red and scratchy. My allergies from smoke were full on and my chest was congested. It was aweful.
I let the front desk know upon checking out and they gave me a night's parking for free. I was too tired to fight it but I do think my stay should have been free. Before leaving I asked the front desk attendant to see if the manager would add points onto my rewards instead. I have not heard back since.
The staff was very apologetic however the manager did say "there's not much we can do, everyone knows the rules but still break it"....I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone and hope they figure out how to make sure this property remains a smoke free environment.
