And it is possible I miss-read the information but I found it a little weird that the offer was to pay for the room and charge my card the day of purchase. When I arrived at Holiday Inn I was informed that there would be an additional $50 deposit held on my credit card unit I leave. I said I paid for the room two days ago with a credit card in full, what's the issue? Additionally, while saying at Holiday Inn there is a parking fee of $10. I asked why, is there not enough space or is there specified parking? The representative said neither. Then I don't understand a parking fee for Holiday Inn parking which is for Holiday Inn resident. I could understand if residents had to park across the street in another parking lot or garage, but pay to park at Holiday inn while you are staying there sounds more like a punishment. May 9, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Getting into Disney The challenge is: Drop off your party in the car and return to the hotel to park. I thought it was a no-brainer. But NO, all streets around Disneyland have "No Stopping" signs and "no Crosswalk" signs. There are two way to do it. Drive into the Disneyland Mall self-parking área, turn left just inside the gate and at the end there are 3 15 minute parking spots. Unload your group and drive back to the hotel. 3 hours of parking are free. Careful you don't go in the valet or taxi áreas or you could get a ticket. They will have to walk the length of downtown Disney or the second day get on the monorail if it is after the first hour #before is only for Disney resorts guests#. Option 2: Drive to the opposite side of Disney. There is one Little unloading zone with a Brown sign. It is after the bus entrance behind a hedge. If you are going more tan 20 mph you will miss it. Now for walking to and from the hotel - walk all the way, walk to Disney downtown and take the monorail, or, there is one Little entrance on Magic Way to get into the tram loading zone. Good luck, they'll probably change the rules by the time you go. About the hotel itself, the bed was bad and they didn't change it upon request. And don't get building 3. There is some bump in the Disney parking garaje next door that you hear the cars going BUMP BUMP all morning long as the garaje fills with the 10,000 cars that fit in the garage. May 7, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Money Pit I have always stayed at this Holiday Inn on all my past visits to Disneyland. However, this is my last time. While the breakfast food was great, the service by the check-in personnel were very poor. As a IHG member since 2002, I had always received the upgrades of a room or other member benefit. This time, the clerk Veronica, was rude, insensitive and snobbish. Asked for upgrades daily, and told none were available. Room's air-conditioning controls did not function. Bed vibrated all night from some in-house equipment. Had to pay $10 daily to keep car parked in hotel parking lot, which was very poorly laided out. Heavy winds in the area, caused trash and debris to be all over car. Also, at check out, discovered my 2014 Chevy Camero had been vandalized in the parking area. This was a brand new car! It really irked me to see where someone purposely damaged car in parking area. Told clerks, and they said, they could do nothing about it. May 4, 2014

Very short walk and close to monorail. We liked being on Walnut St because it was peaceful and quiet yet close to the action of Downtown Disney. Though we could not get in early at 9am (the check in time is 4pm), the front desk was able to help us with storing our luggage. Thank you to the two Roberts (one with an O and the other without), Roy and Gary at night who had helped me find a place to eat at 1:30am. The bar staff was also great! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Expected More The room was overall dirty. There door closer was leaking oil all the way down the back of the door. There was dirt and grime in the cove base and closet door guides. Dirt along the base of the tub. The black out curtain wasn't a black out curtain and the flood lamp on the wall across from the room window shinned in all night. After a day at DL I still couldn't fall asleep because of the flood light. The buffet food was cold the next morning. The hotel was within walking distance to DL, I was greeted as a IHG member, but the dirt and lack of blackout was a very negative for me. It may have been a new housekeeper, or perhaps QA didn't inspect. Would I stay again if I could not find another IHG close, yes. Overall I am very happy with all IHG facilities. April 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and service; comfortable room I spent 2 nights and all of my requests were cheerfully fulfilled. The front desk staff were very nice, friendly, courteous, and always available. The room was comfortable and clean and very quiet. The pool area is very nice and the attached restaurant has both great food and service. As far as distance to Disneyland, I took the ART (Anaheim transportation bus) which was very clean, the driver was very nice and full of helpful information such as returning to the hotel from Disneyland, as well as additional helpful information about area restaurants and other attractions to visit. The area is nice and walking to Disneyland is definitely an option. April 17, 2014

Was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the property. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would consider it average. 2 Queen size beds, a work area, nightstand and TV. The bathroom was a little dated, but who cares you shower and do your business in there! The best part of this hotel is the proximity to Downtown Disneyland...it's about an 8 minute walk, or you can take the Anaheim resort shuttle to and fro. Average pool and hot tub. This property would be better for a shorter stay. I would stay here again if I was stranded at LAX or SNA again! April 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tried to over charge me big time! i reserved the room on line and then they sent me a bill for $100 more than my reservation said. the manager got out his calculator and promised me I was only paying two dollars more than what the reservation said! I refused to leave till the bill was exactly what my reservation confirmation said! they also tact on several fees for having 3 adults and one child in the room (that was an extra $20) they said the price on their website only covered 2 children and 2 adults! really! an adult fee! i did end up paying that! then there was a fee for tourism????? never paid that at a hotel!!! then the parking fee(which I had asked about when i checked in and they said it was fine to park there) i called their corporate office to get something done about it..they promised to call me back in 48 hours....its been two weeks..no call back! never stay there unless you love to pay extra for stuff! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value The hotel is around the corner from Downtown Disney and less than a 15 minute walk to the parks main entrance. It's not a fancy hotel however if you need an affordable no thrills experience this is the place. Parking is ten dollars and wi-fi is free. There's a shuttle for $5 roundtrip however the walk is pleasant and we have a stroller so it was more convenient to just walk. April 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Surprisingly Disappointed I was looking forward to staying here because I usually have good experiences at Holiday Inn and stay frequently. I redeemed my points to stay here, so I can't say it was pricey, but the comfort was subpar to what Holiday Inn should be. It was a Disney family trip (3 teens) and when I arrived not only where they going to charge me to park, but there was no free breakfast which I was not aware of before I arrived. The parking fee was waived after the front desk saw the confusion on my face. The room had a very strong odor of mildew and the sinks were actually in the room, which was inconvenient when you are an early riser and don't want to wake the rest of the sleeping souls in your room with all the face washing and teeth brushing business. Also whenever someone ran their water #in other rooms) the sound was so loud. It seemed we were staying in an old rickety house with cheap plumbing. Overall, it was not a nice sleeping experience and the room really wrecked of mildew. We were in room 4205. Enjoyed pool/spa. April 10, 2014

Since we are Platinum Club members he gave us a great room upgrade. We stayed 3 nights and loved the location to Disneyland. A nice safe friendly neighborhood and short walk to Disneyland. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unexpected I have stayed in several Holiday Inn Express and it is sad for me to say that this property needs improvement. The ceilings are low and relatively dark in the hallways. The room was not as clean as other Holiday Inn Express properties. I would like to say that the staff was very good and helped me where they can. In addition, breakfast was not complimentary and there is a $10 daily parking fee. All of the other Holiday Inn Express I stayed both breakfast and parking were included. I found another property on South Manchester which is within driving range and it appears newer and looked more like what I expected. It is also near the OC shopping mall. If I was to stay near Disneyland again, I would stay at the South Manchester location. April 7, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Terrific Trip This is our second trip to Disneyland staying at the Holiday Inn. Our Family loved it even more than last years stay. We stayed in a suite this year and it was well worth the upgrade in room. The kids were excited to see the addition of the spray park area even though it wasn`t working during our stay. Hopefully it will be when we return again. We have recommended this hotel to other families. The restaurant is convenient and we love the late night family pizza meal. Keep up the good work! The walk from Downtown Disney is 10 minutes and the best part of the walk is not being in the hordes of people going back to their hotels on the other side of the park. Very peaceful and quiet area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow, Great Service Decided to stay here as a test run for a family trip to Disneyland. It appears to be family friendly and the service was great. What made it great? Right at check in the front desk staff was enthusiastic and recognized my platinum status. The onsite bar and restaurant also had great service and good food. Some small details in the room could have been better, but with as many families with small children that I saw it is understandable that dings and dents will occur. The additional charge for parking was $10.00, wished it could have just been added to the room price instead of an extra charge. My family will stay here when we go to Disneyland. March 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping?? The room was clean and looked up to date, but our housekeeping staff did not care. The first day, they did not show up. We called the front desk and housekeeping, but they never answered. The next morning, I went to the front desk to complain and housekeeping did come that day, but only took out some of the trash. Not sure why this was so difficult to take care of. I would consider staying there again, but not because of their service. The location is ideal for the convention center and Disney. March 20, 2014
