Fabulous break away. Amenities were great. Staff really couldn't do any more for us so helpful! The atmosphere was welcoming & warm. Our family room was clean, airy & spacious with everything w needed. A big thumbs up & we'll definitely be back again :-)

Nice to get away from the hurly burly back to our room. Everything we needed, staff were very efficient. Pity that we were not able to visit the Leisure club as it had limited hours over Christmas but everyone deserves time off at Christmas.
Thanks a lot especilly to our room attendant who has very understanding of our teenage sons need to sleep!!

Enjoyed all aspects of the stay. The highlight for my wife and I was the dinner pie buffet which was excellent. would definitely stay again next time in the area.

Enjoyed my stay and was made very welcome.extra blankets were asked for and received .as I had elderly relative staying with me..on site pool and classes good.only criticism was hoping to have a spa treatment which wasn't available as the staff member was on holiday for the few days I was there .otherwise highly recommend .

On arrival it was obvious there was a "works do' in progress that took over the restaurant and subsequently the bar area as well. Food still available in bar but not restaurant as advertised.Very noisy and constant stream of partygoers going through slow shutting doors to garden to smoke made it very cold. not at all pleasant. Like sitting on a railway station.
Room very good at first site but heating uncontrollable pumping out dry dry hot air regardless. Mentioned to reception who said they would check but they didm t mention it further and was still doing its own thing later. Switched it off completely. Probably mistake as we then found duvet was only a couple of inches larger than bed and so spent a very cold night.
Check out was a long line with one girl on duty. Mentioned heating and she said would take some money off bill. Didn' t say how much and played with paperwork for considerable time. Eventually i managed to work out from bill that it was £6. Might have been okay apart from the very unprofessional way of dealing with it which completely negated any goodwill.
If a hotel does not have the size or layout to cater for functions without totally destroying the facilities for other paying guests, then possibly they should warn such guests when this kind of thing is going on prior to booking. Made this booking to avoid early start and get nights rest.Total waste of time and money.

Hotel was easy to find in a good location.
Bedroom and bathroom very spacious.
The bed was massive and was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in.
Rooms were little out dated compared to some of the other holiday inns, however the restaurant and bar facilities were modern.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent lots of choice.
Didn't used the leisure facilities.
Will definitely be staying here again.

Having stayed at the Hotel for an extended period. I have to say one in four meals had to be returned; would have been more but it was getting embarrassing. As the stay was on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast Rate there was no compensation given.
The electricity in the room failed on more than eight separate occasions; resulting in calls to reception and the 'breaker' havingto be reset.
No notification on one occassion that the restaurant was closed and a temporary alternative had been set up; so we eat out.
Complained to management and it was implied that we were liars and had got things wrong; eventually told if we did not like it check out - We Did!
Have sent an e-mail to the hotel requesting information from them still no reply. This is how they treat Platinum Members!
There are alternative hotels close by.....

Stayed at the hotel for a RAF reunion and the weekend experience was first class. The staff were friendly, the hotel amenitiies were good and food was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

stayed several times here now on business and always get good service from very professional & friendly staff.
The rooms are always clean & comfortable.
Only con is that food service in the Bar area can be slow at certain times.

My wife and I stayed for two nights with other members of the family to celebrate our son and daughter- in- laws wedding anniversary. The welcome we received at the check in desk was very good and our room on the ground floor was excellent. The celebration was in one of their rooms and the tables set up for the party. The food and the service was excellent and all who were there thoroughly enjoyed the evening. On both of the mornings we had breakfast there was a great variety to choose from and we were well satisfied. Well Done Holiday Hotel.

Stayed for 1 night only after dropping our son off at RAF Halton, quick and easy check in, staff friendly and helpful, room spacious and clean as well as the usual tea and coffee you get a bottle of still and a bottle of sparkling water plus 2 kit kat chunky bars free. Beds nice and comfy. Breakfast was top quality, will stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

stayed here for short break our time at holiday inn went to fast before we knew it was time for home staff were very kind @ helpful towards my husband @ myself. planning to book April 2014 again for going to a wedding in Aylesbury looking forward to us returning then.

Second stay in this hotel. We stayed in the suite again which is lovely and spacious. The check in staff on reception could do with further training on concessions for priority club members as I found myself having to advise them of this. The check in was slightly hit and miss but soon resolved once I wrote down my name for the receptionist; she finally found my reservation. Unfortunately the food in the restaurant was not that great. We ordered the sea bass and steak. The sea bass was dry and my husband had to send his steak back 3 times!
The staff in the health club were second to none really helpful and accommodating, as was the staff in the bar and restaurant; so thank you health club and restaurant staff.
Overall a pleasant stay and would stay again.

I would just like to comment on just how friendly and courteous all the staff were at this hotel. It makes all the difference to a stay at a hotel. Probably the most welcoming Holiday inn I have stayed at. Nice touches like the welcoming cart when entering the front door after a hard days work with sample food and drink. Nice touch. Rooms very clean and tidy and breakfast was well up to the standard I now expect from a Holiday Inn. Recommend. Yes the swimming pool water temperature was too cold and I would say that the pool needs a makeover. But once again the leisure staff were friendly and welcoming.

After a 2 hour drive I entered the hotel only to find a plaque on the counter saying Congratulations and I was "Guest of the Day". Quickly the staff welcomed me and explained what that meant. The room upgrade, free drinks, WiFi and video were appreciated but also the evident enthusiasm of the staff! It made me feel really good and appreciated in a genuine way by the Holiday Inn team. Thanks a lot and I'll certainly be back!

The staff were very friendly & helpful, the room was clean & tidy. the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great value. Swimming Pool and Sauna was good. Would definitely stay again and recommend friends & family. Most enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed the hotel, save for the swimming pool experience, which was not clean (quite shabby all round, in fact). And the size of the pool was dire, given the size of hotel and potential useage. As for the water temperature, that was very cold. Both my husband and my son, stay in only a few minutes and I (usually a water baby!) only stayed in, to look after my son. The changing rooms are also shabby. Not a patch on other Holiday Inn leisure facilities.
We then went for dinner to find 5 items not available from main menu and a couple of specials gone. Then we chose someyhing else, only to have the waitress come back and tell us, the kitchen didn’t have that either! When the food eventually came, very late, it was fine.
I had asked for a Campari to drink, they didn’t have it, then they didn’t have any Bacardi and then they didn’t have any Bombay gin!
Given the location and obvious high turnaround of users, I would expect better management of food and beverages.
We had booked a family room, only to find, the room wasjust out from the restaurant and was the main walkway to a good few rooms! And there were A LOT of very noisy delegates, both late evening and early morning. Logically, therefore, this is not an ideal site for a family bedroom!
Having run venues for over 25 years, I am all too aware how hugely important it is to fulfil clients requirements.
This experience was pretty average.

We came for a party in one of the suites and decided to stay the night to be able to socialise and enjoyed the evening. The room was comfortable and clean.
The discounted room for the private party and buffet breakfast was very reasonable and would recommend to others.

Wifi is the fourth utility but Holiday Inn make you pay for it.
TV not best placed for in bed viewing. Breakfast over priced
Please note we did not eat at the hotel due to the prices. Poor is a reflection of the value for money not quality of the food.

We stayed here last week in order for my mother to visit the national spinal injuries unit. A usually stressful visit was massively reduced by the staff, comfort and just excellent service that this hotel was offering. Greeted by smiling staff, leaving with a genuine thank you and nothing was too much of a problem for them. And the disability facilities in the rooms are the best I have come across. We will most definitely be staying here again on the next visit and the visits after as a hospital trip is necessary for her every year. Thank you to everyone there :)

It's my favourite hotel a place make me feel relaxed and happy.
Reception staff with genuine smile always make me feel welcomed, they are very efficient and they like to know if your stay was good and any opportunity of improvement to enrich my stay.
I visited this hotel 6 times and really I want to revisit it again. Now I am looking to use the swimming facilities in my next visit.
On my first visit of this hotel there were a weeding celebration with smiles and happiness around and this really the image in my mind about this fairy hotel.

Be careful what you order inthe restaurant. Sirloin steak could be a lot better for the money. Meal inthe function room was better than the restaurant.
Breakfast was fantastic and very enjoyable a great way to start the day.

The welcome was offhand - as if we were interrupting the receptionist form some personal tasks. Room was dirty and as a Platinum Member was not the upgrade we had expected. Entrance area overgrown with weeds and littered with cigarette ends - would not revisit this hotel

Restuarant food V Good on our choices but a little pricey.
Could do with a lift or a ramp up onto the first floor with auto firedoors. Its a pain for older folk to access this floor while hampered by cases.

First impression good, staff very helpfull this made the stay very relaxing and exceeded what I expected.
Room very spacious and clean extra bed that was asked for was already made up and ready to go, and all the little extras around the room made for a pleasant change from the norm.
Will recomend freinds and family to stay there and next visit will be first place to check for availabilaty.
