Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Probably nicest hotel in Beaumont We enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn in Beaumont over the Christmas break. The rooms were nice, the breakfasts were EXCELLENT and the staff was friendly. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the indoor pool and hot tub and they were closed for renovations, so be sure to check if you plan to swim during your stay! December 29, 2013

The staff was excellent and our stay became memorable. After a long day of driving staying there was a fresh welcome. Even though our floor was under renovation, the room was great, the floor was quiet and the service was excellent. December 29, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Meh I am a fan of Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express for the most part, but even my 11 year old son could see what a dump this place was. The room wasn't very clean (there was a used tissue on the bathroom floor, one of the towels had a red blotch on it--some sort of powder perhaps#. The place was worn, two of the ice machines we tried #we went to three of them# didn't work. The staff was fine, but didn't go out of their way to show any type of hospitality--more of a "take it or leave it" kind of attitude. There was no free breakfast #perhaps this is only for the Holiday Inn Express locations#, but we were told for $10 per person we could have the buffet in the morning. Though we were priority club members we were told we would have to buy bottles of water #also perhaps a Holiday Inn Express perk). The place will do in a pinch, but there are several other hotels in that general area with comparable pricing and if Holiday Inn isn't going to step up, perhaps one of those other places will earn my business in a couple of weeks when we go back through Beaumont Texas. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good experience This hotel is in need of a remodeling upgrade. The carpet and drapes were stained. The bathroom was extremely small and not very clean. The sitting area of the suite was warm while the sleeping area was freezing cold. Called the front desk several times to beg for the basics like clean towels, toilet paper and linens and pillows for the sofa bed. Those things should have been in the room readily available. Will not stay here again. Not worth the money I paid. December 1, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad experience 45 minute wait in line to check in due to server crash. One person doing check-in. Needed a better contingency plan. Needed better trained staff to work thru this. Room was extremely dusty but didn't want to stand in line another hour to attempt a change. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy night of no sleep The noise level was quite high. We tolerated it until 11PM and then started to complain to the front desk. We called at 1130 PM and again at 12 PM when nothing happened. The room was right above the bar area (3rd floor) and with the open design and boisterous crowd, the noise is not dampened and is not conducive for a good night's sleep. We also banged on the walls for the noise in the next room and above us. Finally around 1AM the level was tolerable. We will not return. November 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hot Water and WiFi lacking The hot water was lukewarm at best and the WiFi ranged from 1MBS poor signal to nonexistent. When I walked to the front desk to ask them to reset the WiFi there was not even a signal at the front desk. Even after complaining it never got any better. When I checked out I commented on the poor signal to the clerk and his reply was "Yeah, we get that a lot here" It is a nice hotel and if WiFi and hot water are not important then I would say go for it.. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs upgrade, not worth price Way over priced for poor quality of this hotel. Bed sheets were covered in hair...sheets seemed cleaned maybe housekeeper needs a hair net. Towels were dingy white and need to be replaced. Cannot adjust thermostat in room, controlled at 72. The water had an odor, but not unbearable. Very poor lighting, everything was dull and dim although there were several lamps and sources of lighting. Hotel needs upgrading, and should be charging half the price of what was paid. Unfortunately, this is probably one of the "better" options of hotels in the area. October 29, 2013

Overall my stay was adequate, but one thing I didn't like was that the hotel lobby and outside of the rooms smelled faintly of sulphur, or sewage (this may just be Beaumont in general). Also, the only working ice machine was in the lobby, and was always out of ice. The free breakfast was great. Much better than cereal or fruit with most "continental breakfasts". I called the desk for help with the TV (hooking up my computer with an HDMI cable) and the service was prompt and the maintenance guy was extremely polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were awesome, and surprisingly, the towels were actually soft! Not the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was good overall. October 26, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Elevators broken for over an hour; room ceiling leaked Upon arrival I could not get to my room as neither elevator was working for more than an hour. There were no push carts to load my luggage. I suppose they could not be brought down as the elevators were not working. Why have a frig in the room if it is not turned on? Ceiling over bar leaked liquid. This place needs upgrading. The plastic plants need to be replaced or at the very least cleaned. They were thick with dust. The pool was NOT inviting. October 24, 2013

Room was smelling, pillows smelling, the bathtub was water was not draining .... towels, heater. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice stay The check-in people, young man and young woman, were excellent, quick and efficient. Room was nice, as always. Comfortable king bed, good selection of TV stations. The only negative was the water pressure in the shower was pretty weak. Only ate breakfast at the restaurant but the food was good, as was the service. Several restaurant options nearby. Had very poor experience at Joe's Crab Shack across the interstate, very slow service and cold food. Would avoid that one. All in all, a very nice three-day stay. October 23, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff not so great beds. The staff is very friendly, but the rooms are not always in the best condition and some of the beds are worn out. The property is in good shape and is in a good location. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat. The indoor pool and hot tub is nice and the work out room is good to have. 2- treadmills and a recumbent bike are great. I stay here at least twice a week and have for years. Rooms are clean. Overall the hotel is in good shape. If your room is not up to par tell the front desk. They'll be more than happy to change your room out. October 10, 2013
