Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tub in room # 418 I always stay at this HI when I travel to BG. I've never stayed in this room before normally # 718. The tub either needs to be replaced or heavy duty bleach. The bottom is mostly black from either just over use or just old but not very appealing to get in barefooted. The folks there are super. Joe takes you in van as Jamey is super at the lounge. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice This hotel appears to be a little older, but in good shape. We were given just one breakfast coupon, so we had to pay for one, but that was fine. It has a full restaurant instead of a buffet. The waitress in the restaurant was very friendly. The room over-looked a golf course...nice view. Overall, a good experience. October 27, 2013

I made reservation in Jan. for a king suite room but arrived at hotel in Oct. only to be told none were available due to some being renovated. I left a message with housekeeping and the head of housekeeping called me back after going to the room and moving furniture to make sure it wasn't there. I really appreciate her extra effort. I still don't have my earring but I know that the Holiday in staff did what they could to help me find it. October 15, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WORST HOTEL EVER It has a mildew smell There was hair on my pillow cases and make-up The toliet chain was broken therefore I could not flush the toliet The business center pc would not allow me to open e-mail attachments GROSS!!!!!!!!!! I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, but I had no choice, but to stay there because of a conference. They try to nickle and dime you for everything. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by my experience Well at the check-in we were told that they didn't have a room with double beds for us. They had given our room away to the people coming in for the football game. We were a party of 3 & that's why I reserved 2 double beds. Instead we were told they only had a room with 1 king size bed & would reduce the cost by $5 a night. Not happy. Upon check-out we brought up the fact that we reserved early for the event we had come to & were told we would get a room with 2 double beds. The check-out person said she could & would do better than the $5 a night which she did. Happy. I would say had she not I wouldn't be happy at all & had told her I planned to write corporate office & complain. Now I don't have to complain. The housekeeping staff did a great job at keeping clean towels available. The bed was very comfortable & I got a great nights sleep while we were there. October 1, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by problems at check in I arrived at around 10:00am. (I was attending a Conference at the Hotel). I asked for an early check-in and was told that was not possible. I should check back in about an hour. I did. Still not possible. I was told I probably wouldn't be able to have an early check-in, but check in was at 3:00. At 3:00 I was at one of the 3 check-in desks. The clerk said I should stay nearby and she would give me the next room available with 2 beds. In about 1 minute I saw her leaving for the day. I went to one of the other clerks. I heard the nearest clerk giving a guest a room with 2 beds. By now there was a line of guests waiting to check in. I stated that I would just wait there until I could be allowed to check in. It was now about 3:05. I was told repeatedly, "We're doing the best we can." By some miracle the clerk tapped her computer keys and voila' there was a room. I was given a complimentary breakfast buffet to compensate me for my aggrevation. September 25, 2013

Did not realize a "standard room" was a smoking room by reservation process & had to reserve a different process for this. Arrived after 7:30pm and was told nonsmoking rooms were assigned on a first come first serve basis by desk clerk. I was not aware of this process. Spoke to staff and was not able to resolve process. Manager on duty was not able to resolve problem and did not offer any resolution. Manager on duty was not dressed approriately for job duty-clothing too tight & no dress jacket in place-only had white top & skirt on. I will not stay in this Holiday Inn again.. Room assignment process need to be more clear for the online regisration process September 24, 2013

The sink faucet, the tub and fixtures are ready for a refresh. The published (guest room book) opening time for the restaurant was misstated. The breakfast service is efficient with a well stocked buffet and excellent made to order omeletes. The bartender is very friendly and he brings in a good mix of locals along with the hotel customers. Free coffee service in the lobby and daily issues of "USA Today" are a bonus. September 23, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst Holiday Inn I've stayed at I was told the hotel was right by the interstate(I was pulling a 30' trailer and wanted to be by the interstate# actually the hotel was about 3 miles off the interstate through several traffic lights #10# I was told I would have a room close ground level. when we arrived are room was on the 6th floor#total of 7 floors# Once we opened the door to our room the smell of cat urine about knocked you down. The staff changed us to another room and discounted our room, The check in woman#Ashland# was extremely nice and apologized for the issuses. Don't drink the bottled water left in the room #2#, you will be charged $3.00 a bottle--which we thought they gave the water to you, we never seen a price on them? September 10, 2013

Upon arrival the room temperature was warmer than I like so I turned the air down to 65, several hours later the room temperature remained the same. The bed appeared to be comfortable until you lay down, then you roll to a worn spot in the mattress, not comfortable at all! The shower head was dirty and was changed by staff however the entire time I was in the shower it made a loud high pitched noise, then on the last day the shower knob broke to were I didn't think I was going to be able to shower, however I managed to get the shower working long enough to take a shower. I personally would not stay in this particular room again. September 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Room need queen size beds Room was nice and large. Needs queen size beds at least. Ample room to do so. While breakfast was included cooking staff was slow to replenish and appeared grossly understaffed. Food was undercooked at times also. Definitely not worth the money for this. Cleaning needs to be upgraded. My wife wiped down the bathroom herself and it shined, so if she can do it staff can do it. Front desk check in is still slow and again staff is not out front waiting on guests. This is our 3rd trip to this hotel and the same result every time at the front desk. Staff is friendly, but tends to stay in the back. Room had nice carpet and was cool, despite the heat outside. Ample room to meet with friends at the hotel. Nice hotel but needs some staff changes and upgrades especially bathrooms and beds. September 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeded my expectations. During my 3 day stay I needed batteries for my camera. I went to the front desk to see if there was a gift shop inside the hotel. The front desk attendant said there wasn’t one, but asked what I needed. I know hotels will have some toiletry items if a guest forgets something. I’ve never heard of a hotel providing batteries. I was just going to go to the store. But the front desk attendant was concerned about my needs and asked again what I needed. After telling her it was just batteries, I started to walk away to head to the store. She asked what size and started to look for some when I told her AA. She found batteries and gave them to me. What a nice, unexpected service! Thank you! September 4, 2013

When I went to check out the clerk was picking up the phone to make a call. I got there before she started to dial. She dialed anyway, failed to recognize me an any way and carried on her conversation while I stood right there. When she finished her obviously personal conversation she looked at me without saying a word. I turned and left. September 3, 2013

Found our room to be as expected-no surprises! That's why I stay frequently in Holiday Inn property's. The chef manning the breakfast bar prepared a drop-dead delicious omelet. The remainder of the bar was well stocked. I will stay here again. August 21, 2013

Unfortunately kids were running through the hallways most of the night so it made it hard to get any good sleep. We ate at the Mexican restaurant down the street and that was good too. The bartender in the lounge was gracious and very friendly. All together, between these two areas of the hotel you have spokespersons for the facility that will bring visitors back again and again. My room was comfortable and provided the necessary facilities for the interviews that I came to Bowling Green to conduct. Would not hesitate for a moment to recommend the hotel to others.
