Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relax gulfside This is a great motel for enjoying the gulf, beaches and the seaside atmosphere. The suite was comfortable and had anything you could want. The balcony provided a perfect view of the sunset on the gulf. The staff was friendly and eager to help in any way they could. The second bathroom had a roomy walk-in tile shower that was really relaxing! I will consider staying here again next time we vacation in Florida. December 10, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Clearwater Beach - This hotel is slipping I'm a Gold Member - have stayed at this hotel many times. Room smelled nasty, even though it was on top priority 9th floor. A/C made smell worse - had to air room out for 5 days. Hotel was virtually empty, and in the past I always received room upgrade - didn't this time and will weigh in my hotel choice next time. After checkout, i discovered I left a pair of expensive headphones in the drawer in the room - contacted hotel on Saturday (same checkout day), explained I was only home until weds and needed them shipped one day, gave them credit card to pay for expedited service. Was told "no problem". I asked to be emailed tracking number upon shipment, was told "no problem". Tuesday I called, and package had just left, not shipped one-day. I asked for manager and was told there wasn't one at the hotel!!! No one taking responsibility of the screwup, and no manage accountable to a Gold member who has stayed at that hotel MANY times. No real apology or proper representation of Holiday Inn as well. December 9, 2014
