From the minute we arrived, everything was great. This was the 3rd stay for our family and we will be back! From the check-in on Friday afternoon until check out we only recieved great service and lots of smiles.

We stay at this hotel when we visit our son at University of Maryland. Our recent stay was for graduation. The hotel has an excellent breakfast and a shuttle available to take us to the campus. We didn't have to deal with traffic or parking. It made the graduation experience wonderful.
I highly recommend this hotel!

I booked this reward stay because of the Storming of Thunder Ridge bicycle ride in Lynchburg, VA. I arrived late and had to leave early but was greeted warmly, processed efficiently and given a rather generous room. I was acknowledged for my status and thanked for my stay. I will return there if I every have need of accommodations in Lynchburg in the future.

I was tired, it was getting late at night, so I stopped where I usually do and got the same great service I always get. It's like home away from home. You can't always pick the gas station to fill up, but you can usually pick where you sleep. The next day I woke up, got in the car, and got around Washington, DC and a few other places before driving home. Got a lot done in a short period of time because of the great location.

I stayed here for my wedding but didnt get a suite or anything special. I was not aware of the $50 deposit, thus my credit card was declined. The service at the front desk was terrible. He was not very informed on hotel policy. This caused check in to take almost 30 minutes. In addition, my non smoking room smelled like smoke and so did the second room they moved us into. The smell was even confirmed by the security guard who escorted us to the 2nd & 3rd room. I was then informed that the entire bottom floor was once a smoking floor. The 3rd room was much better but it was an annoying situation. The room served its purpose.

My one night stay was excellent.
I was thanked for being a priority member and given the amenties that come with being a member.
I was very delighted to find a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. This is a plus.
The reservation staff was efficient and professional.
The room was clean and welcoming.
I was not impressed with the breakfast buffet. I will try the menu items the next time around. The plus is the staff in the restaurant very friendly, attentive and professional.
I will stay at this property again and recommend to other individuals.

We loved our one night stay. Pool was a great addition to relax and stretch. Food was great in the hotel restaurant.

Hotel location is ideal for visiting University of Maryland plus shopping the Ikea store just behind it! Restaurant continues to provide tasty meals and friendly service. Staff is responsive to customer service.

I had not stayed here for over a year since the last time that I stayed at this property my car as well as 5 others were broken into and I had my I-Pod and my GPS stolen from the car. The hotel did little to make my feel very good. The past stay was in a room with no desk, no work chair and the hotel's selection for television stations was very limited with poor reception. I have seen that the Holiday Inn chain in general is attempting to raise their rates to a par with the higher quality hotel chains. Their rewards programs are also not very generous. I find it hard to justsfy the cost for the value of this hotel. I travel constantly and am in hotels every night so it is hard to disappoint me. This did.

The hotel is obviously older and carpeting, and furnishing show it. If you are unlucky enough to face IKEA it is like having a spotlight into your room even with the curtains closed. The bar food is overpriced and only fair. Had the cheesesteak and it should have been listed as onions and cheese, and Where's Waldo for the meat, there was one thin piece.
However the desk staff was wonderful and could answer questions about the area.
Overall for a couple of nights it was a Holiday property and added to my Priority Club points. Sorry that is the best I can say. Not up to what I have come to expect from Holiday Inns

Hospitality is tops at this hotel, but it couldn't make up for poor housekeeping. Though we had reported an unstable sink & hairs left in the shower stall, and were assured all was taken care of, it was certainly not. We repeated our problem, and it was dealt with, finally. The manager and front desk staff were very friendly, and tried to buy off our frustration with free breakfast and a snack basket. The hotel is tired and well-worn. We won't go back.

The front desk accomodated our request to have a connecting room which made all the difference in our stay! Our room had a microwave and mini-fridge, which when you travel with children, is a must! The hotel is not far from the Greenbelt Metro. The shuttle takes you right there and was available every time we needed it without waiting. The kids enjoyed the pool where there is a lifeguard on duty. The work-out room was also clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again.

We stayed in the college park holiday inn over a weekend while attending a university of Maryland basketball game. The front desk was very helpful. The hotel was very easy to get to from the beltway. The room was very clean and pleasant. I think the best thing is the free shuttle service the hotel offers. The first night they drove us downtown to a restaurant to get dinner. Saturday they drove us to the Comcast center and picked us up. There are two or three restaurant choices within walking distance and in the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the university of Maryland.

I have only 1 complaint. This was my 3rd stay at the hotel, I didn't have any problems doing a early check-in because my flight always land at 7am, and I need somewhere to lay my head prior to my 1pm brief. I was told this most recent stay the this hotel doesn't do early check-ins. I was puzzled. But I finally got in my room and relaxed before my brief to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Thank you very much!

I stay in this location once a month on average. The staff is always fantastic, the room clean, and bed comfortable. A short drive to D.C. and reasonable rates are just a few things this great place has to offer. The onsite restaurant is good if you don't feel like venturing out, but if you do, there are tons of great local places to eat (CJ Ferrarias is a must). I even get a free drink coupon upon arrival. My only complaint is the parking lot. The spaces as so tight that in order to avoid a ding or dent you have to park far away.

On my latest visit, I stayed in the newest wing. The accommodations far exceeded my expectations. Plus, the Staff was friendly and responsive, especially the front desk clerk who checked me in. I would highly recommend this hotel!

From the front desk to housekeep the staff was friendly.
Found the room to be very clean and comfortable with plenty of lighting for the work desk area. Heat / AC was good and not too loud. Food at the bar / lounge was typical bar food and the drinks seemed a bit high even for happy hour. But the bartender fast and friendly sot not bad. Parking was ok but not real secure and could see space being problem if they were to be busy.

Checked in on a Sunday early evening and wanted room service ... was told that they operate on a "limited menu" on Sundays [Have they seen their menu? It's pretty limited to begin with - and come on - you are part of a full-service restaurant] I was told that he (the person who answered the phone) would have to check to see if my request was available (Chicken pasta). After waiting 10 minutes for him to come back I hung up and called back to sepak to a manager . The same person answered the phone and said "oh, you were the one who ordered the pasta" I said I had been waiting to here if it was available and you never came back - I want to speak to the manager. He told me a manager wasn't there tonight but I could speak to a supervisor. She came on the phone and apologized and said that he was a bus-er who was answering the phones. she said my meal had been ordered - I told her no thank you - I had already waited to hear if it was available and I was going out to a restaurant that I knew had food that was available. I complained to the Front Desk about it and the Food and Beverage Manager called to offer me a free meal that evening. i'm sorry, I didn't complain to get a free meal - I want the issues with Room Service addressed ... this is the second bad experience that I have had with room service .... nothing changed from the first time. On a positive note, the Front Desk staff is WONDERFUL - they should be the ones training the F&B staff on customer service.

We chose the Washginton/College Park Holiday Inn while visiting family in Maryland.
We had returned to the hotel about 10:30 on Sunday after a long day. I was looking forward to relaxing with a glass of wine but when we got to the hotel the lounge had closed due to inactivity. I asked the front desk clerk (Lisa??) if there was any way someone could open the bar and give us 2 glasses of wine. She did not hesitate at all and called Deb (?), she quickly opened the bar and we received 2 healthy glasses of wine. I work in the service field and I really appreciate when people go above and beyond the normal call of duty! Thank you!
Every employee we ran into during our stay always said hello, smiled and made us feel welcomed to stay at their hotel.
The rooms we clean, comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

On the night that my husband and I stayed at the hotel there was also a wedding taking place. Unfortunately, it didn't end until 11:30 which meant that I didn't get to sleep until way after that time. The reception did not end until around 12:00 and I was able to hear all of the music that was played.
