The hotel is new and this is reflected in the decor and cleanliness. I do wonder what it will be like in a year or so's time. To have to pay for use of the hotel carpark as an overnight guest is a bit out of order. However overall good. March 1, 2015

Our second stay for over night after a flight into Gatwick before heading north. All was pretty much in keeping with expectations from a HI but in needing an adapted room I was not overly taken by the lack of thought in design, no plug sockets near the bed, light switch behind door rather than in front, everything geared to wheelchair thus basin at knee height with no plug. The lack of a convenient socket required the provision of an extension lead!! Staff member who attended was excellent. Room was also too far away from Reception thus necessitating a long walk. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by executive suite was excellent We had room 221 executive suite it was round the back of the hotel. The room was very quiet, incredibly clean and very smartly furnished. Really couldn't fault it. My only gripe is that they charged £10 for parking. I know its near the airport so they may get a problem with cars being left there, but, they take your registration number when you first check in to the hotel so it wouldn't be too hard for them to let genuine hotel guests out for free.
