This room benifited from a recently refurbished bathroom. This contributed to my stay experince.
The room Furniture looks tired and the carpet had stains in some areas I assume from the refurbishment works.
But overall still a comfortable room.
The staff are always very attentative and welcoming.
The bar and dining areas are okay, but again the Furniture looks and feels tired.
The food and drink available are fine and the restaurant menu had been updated which provided a wider and interesting selection.
Overall a good hotel to stay in and I will continue to use it regularly.

On check in my Colleague and I received rooms keys for rooms 25 and 27. Room 25 have a torn bed base (on the corner highly visible to see) and the bathroom had black scum in around the seal and within the grout, the door was swollen, having to lift/shove the door, overall the bathroom was very tired and in need of a refurb ASAP! The room was very cold, on inspection of thr patio style door, to the left of the door you could place you fingers behind the lip of the door, this would not close, therefore letting in cold air but also traffic noise from the outside.
Room 27 had the same issue with the bed, with the added problem of a highly stained duvet that could be seen through the cover (yellow and brown stains!). The bathroom to room 27 was also failing, with black scum on the seals and grout, however the general appearance of this bathroom was more up to date. Back in the bedroom, the chair arm was ripped.
We were upgraded to rooms 123 and 236, 123 still had black scum to tiles, but overall the room was an improvement on room 27. Room 236 was much much better (except the duvet was a double size on a king sized bed, so looked daft as it only covered 80% of the bed), with a newly refurbished shower room Room 236 should be the standard for all rooms (with the right sized duvet of course).
Breakfast very good, evening meals very good (did have an issues with undercooked food, however the Chef and Staff were more than helpful to get it right, so 10/10 for their service).
Would I use this hotel again? Yes but the room would have to be as good as 236 or I may not stay again (the holiday in express in Hamilton, is newer and cheaper, you may not get a full breakfast offer but its overall experience is a challenge to the Holiday in at East Kilbride, if you don't get it right for the future).

OK if you have to stay in this area but if you have time I'd stay a little further afield in something a little more comfortable.

Great value for money overall experience is well worth staying at this hotel staff go out of the way to be helful and make sure you stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Dining was very good and breakfast had everything you needed and more.

The hotel was value for money and the reception staff very helpful, I would recommend hotel to family and friends and would stay in this hotel again.
The leisure center staff helpful and pleasant.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Cleanliness and reception desk service
I felt the corridors to my room were lokking tired form a decor point of view and the edges of carpets and stairs not very clean.
On the other hand the service i received from the receptionist was excellent. She offered to book my taxi of rthe next day and was able to give me an approximate time of how it would fo rme to go form thr hotel to my meeting destination. Excellent service from the receptionist.
