Well positioned hotel for Cheshire Oaks, Liverpool etc, second stay in two months, very nice hotel, evening meal was delicious, room very good as were staff, only complaint was buffet breakfast, obviously chef chooses to cook everything at 6.30am as its easier for him but food is congealed and inedible by 9.40am there must be a lot of food wasted and thrown out, why do hotel managers allow this.

Agreeable setting and very customer-focused staff. Room was good value, clean and fit for purpose. Quality of food only average - steak and chips for instance: steak well-cooked, chips looked cooked but if fact weren't completely. Overall would use it again (and have stayed several times)

location was lovely. staff and hotel was also lovely. just found the bed a little hard and the duvet a little thin. also it was great on finding the bathroom with a bath, so many hotel rooms only have showers.

The stay was a good experience, very good overall service from staff, clean room, spacious although a little 'tired' looking, may need redecoration soon.

I booked two rooms for my family. Both rooms were immaculate, the staff attentive and the sunrise at breakfast outstanding. Overall a quite excellent stay.

If you live a long way from family/friends there is no better way to be made comfortable than to book into a good hotel that is reasonably priced; considering the time of year this was reasonable.
When you book this hotel online your worries or fears are eliminated as all you need do is turn up on the day and bingo your every need is covered.
From lovely food, especially BREAKFAST,(Continental through to the full English) all is catered for. The staff are most pleasant and the facilities are there for you to use. The bedrooms are warm with a facility to be warmer or cooler according to your own requirements. This is our second visit as we have family in the area. To spend time with growing, excitable children is great but also as we get older its good to relax in a quiet place; and this is it.

Placed in a location that through my childhood was a no go area, Holiday Inn have built a hotel the town can be proud of. Though a little difficult to find at first, I thought I had gone the wrong way, but then you are directed over a lock bridge. Beautifully lit up at night when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted on arrival by efficient and polite staff, checked in quickly and given my room key.
The room was clean, fresh and had everything we required. We all slept well and enjoyed hot shower the next morning, before heading to the breakfast room.
The dining room was clean and efficiently run, tea was served quickly and all the staff were attentive. The views over the canal were very pleasant too.
