Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed The room looked rather 'tired' and in need of refurbishment. However it was very clean. Comfortable bed. Good thick towels. The buffet breakfast was excellent - plenty of variety. The scrambled egg was the best I have had in any hotel. All in all, very good value. October 15, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay We had a no fuss stay at this hotel. Used a disabled room because I use a wheelchair - it was absolutely spot on - plenty of room, very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. No fuss booking and our car was safe during our absence. What more could you ask for. I would recommend this hotel. We always use this hotel if we are flying from Gatwick. Many thanks to the hotel staff. October 13, 2012

We do the same thing at least twice every year and have never had anything but great service. Rooms are comfortble, staff are efficient and helpful. The whole experience is very worthwhile. September prior to the start of a short holiday in Portugal.Everything went without a hitch,The check-in was efficient, the room comfortable, the evening meal "filled the gap".The car parking arrangements were faultless.On return a week later we collected our car without any problems. Thank you "Holiday Inn" for your professionalisim, we hope to return in future and will pass on details of your place to friends who want to stay near Gatwick prior to a flight. l October 8, 2012

We find it the best way to start a holiday, a good nights sleep, not worrying in case we don't get to the airport, gives you time to relax and enjoy a good meal. We booked this hotel to stay for the night before early flight the next day.Room as you would expect to find, pleasantly surprised that it was quiet so had a good nights sleep. We left our car in the car park until our return 5 days later. When we did return around 2.30am pouring with rain we were told the car had been moved so now it was further away than we left it.Due to the heavy rain it was sitting in a large puddle only obvious once I'd tried to get into the car. So now had 2 hours journey home with soaking feet! Given our plane was late departing ,then we had ages to wait for our luggage so missed an earlier courtesy bus this was the last straw . In an ideal world someone would have bought our car round to the hotel lobby for us. October 7, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brilliant location and even better service We stayed on Sunday 23rd September 2012 as we had an early morning flight the following day and we were already told this hotel was great but as we hadn't done anything like this before we didn't know what to expect. The room was big and comfortable and the service was brilliant as the staff couldn't do enough for us. Gema who was on reception stood out for us and she really went out of her way. Our car was looked after and I would come back to this hotel and it's only 5 minutes from Gatwick so great for relaxing before your holiday. October 6, 2012

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room very clean and of a high standard. Our only small quibble was that not enough warm bedding was supplied as standard. We obtained an extra heater and extra bedding on request, but feel that this should have been available in the room on arrival. Apart from that, we would highly recommend this Holiday inn. Mugs towels etc. Room advertised as executive but not as large or as smart as some other holiday inn standard rooms I have stayed in. The furniture was threadbare and the bathroom well past it's sell by date. Overall very disappointing start to holiday. No price reduction as we leaving before 6,am so cooked. Breakfast not available. No proper explanation of parking system and return to hotel Menu limited on the package October 2, 2012

She greeted us warmly, graciously took care of all our questions, right down to printing our boarding pass. Her performance was outstanding! When merchandize was delivered for me it was very well taken care of by the desk staff and delivered to my room. The coaches are now obliged, by the airport authorities I presume, to drop off/pick up passengers some 1,000 yards from the terminal entrance! This is not funny when one is being dropped off/collected at some unGodly hour of the day and dragging heavy luggage. Granted, this is not the hotel's fault, but it IS their fault that they don't advise people when booking! Beware everyone - unless you have trained for the London Marathon! September 19, 2012

They offered my friends a free car parking space as a gesture of goodwill. I was being recognised as Platinum member which doesn't happen often at other places. I had stayed here in the past & mid age lady at the front desk checked us in was superb. I did not get my upgrade!! but she convinced me well!! Wasn't expecting anything too flash and hotel exceeded my expectations. All staff were friendly and helpful and bus was on time and we got to the airport easily. Upon return car was in car park and easy to pick up and drive home.Will use again if needed. No complaints. August 21, 2012
