Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unfriendly staff Front desk staff were rude. They were not at all customer service oriented. Basic questions were answered tersely and with an impatient tone. They did not address our problem with the malfunctioning of our keys (multiple trips to the front desk). Finally, we were there for the marathon weekend. The shuttle from Carmel came at 6AM to take the runners to the start. The hotel put out a few bagels and dry toast since the usual buffet was not available till 6:00. Since many of their guests were doing the run, they could have made breakfast available 15 min earlier. That would have made everyone's stay so much more enjoyable. Also, the front desk staff stated that there would be no late check out. That meant the runners had to check out at 6AM and could not return after the event (around noon) to take a shower and change. Again, some flexibility to accommodate the special event would have encouraged us to return again next year. As it stands, we will stay elsewhere. April 22, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed that it was a host hotel This hotel was a host hotel for Carmel marathon. They advertised that breakfast would be open early for runners and shuttle to the race. There was only one shuttle that left at 6am. Likely the hotel had no control over this. However, breakfast opened at 5:45...so there was a crowd of people waiting to grab some breakfast before getting on the shuttle. The breakfast was also not runner friendly (greasy eggs and bacon?!). The last disappointing item was again, this is a host hotel and they would not accommodate late check-out. We had to be checked out by noon...that's about when I finished running the marathon. So, I had the additional stress of getting everything packed up and out of the room quite early. Note that the room was clean and I had no issues with any of that. April 22, 2015

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. A quick night cap at the bar before settling in for the night was exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An Indy Gem Recently completed a stay at HI Carmel, Indiana for an investigations conference. The property was well sited in a convenient location (which will be even better when Indiana gets done with the roads!) with lots of easily accessible parking. I was impressed most with the quality, friendliness and professionalism of the staff - you will be too! The property was clean, quiet and well appointed with modern furnishings and amenities; and pretty much everything I needed was on premise. You will want to check out the bar, especially if you are a lover of fine Scotch! They had all of my favorites April 20, 2015
