Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel is in an excellent place for access to London, the convenience of the free shuttle bus to/from the tube station is effortless. The shuttle bus drivers are very pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area, and are always very prompt, even when you need to telephone them from the station. The hotel provides all the complimentary touches that make your stay pleasant and hassle free. There is no country views from the hotel, but the nearby large shopping centre provides an alternative place to wander should you feel the need to. All the staff are pleasant and the hotel is very clean. September 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great service but very poor breakfast (to take away) Excellent service. Room Good, breakfast good, shuttle bus is very very good! Staff were very friendly and paid attention to details! Especially the shuttle bus drivers! Almost nothing bad at all. However, I can not give full marks to this hotel simply because the packed breakfast we had.... We had every breakfast in this hotel and it was very enjoyable, fresh and lots of choice. That's why I was very confident the last breakfast would be the same. However, we had to leave very early in the last morning, the hotel said they would prepare packed breakfast for us. We were very happy and expected similar quality food (at least decent amount of food to feed us). We were ASTONISHED when we saw the packed breakfast: one apple, one banana, one small bottle of orange juice and a very small bun (only one bag had bacon inside, all the other four had no meat or veg at all). They were not even bothered to put some bread or bread slices. My parents were starving and my son complained he was very hungry too! I felt so bad as I was not able to buy anything while travelling and I trusted the holiday inn team tooooo much! My mistake! Would come back again, but will never ever take packed lunch again! Pay a couple of pounds in any supermarket, you get a lot more! September 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff/breakfast and rooms Stayed here on a special rate arranged with Holiday Inn for a function on 29/8/13 at nearby Alexandra Palace. Overcharged on parking but did not notice. And function started at 7.30pm but we had to check out of rooms by 2.00pm. Therefore had to pay extra £50 on top of the special rate to ensure we had a room to change in and get ready for the function (reason we were there in the first place). Not impressed with this at all and felt we had no choice. But, staff were brilliant as was the room and breakfast was superb. September 2, 2013

Location not bad but with the shuttle service not really a problem. Food at breakfast was very good staff worked tirelessly full credit. My only gripe was paying for the car park. Being a priority member this should be refunded. Overall we enjoyed our stay. August 30, 2013

The shuttle bus to the tube station is very convenient, only problem was having to wait for it due to popular demand !The staff are all very helpful and professional. The choice of food for breakfast is great. We ate in the hotel one evening, the service and food were great but a bit over priced. One major compliant and inconvenience was the lack of free wifi , it was available at quite a price. August 23, 2013

On this occasion I took my wife and two grandsons for the weekend and the staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel is good anyway, a top Hoilday Inn, but the staff make it exceptionally good. They are polite, friendly, helpful and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing weekend I stay regularly at The Holiday Inn, Brent Cross. The rooms are very comfortable and relaxing and the curtains provide total darkness to ensure a good nights sleep. The breakfast is good qualiity with a wide choice of cooked or non cooked food. Plenty of parking places BUT why should there be a charge to park in their own grounds? Bit naughty this! As a Gold Priority Club member, I receive no advantages at all. The complimentary paper is stupid as they give you the Independant but as there are dozens of them on the ground floor, this is no advantage. There was also no free drinks at all in our room provided. Not even a packet of biscuits. Other than that, I always enjoy staying at this hotel August 15, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Problem needs addressed Great hotel, location and excellent staff. However the big drawback was the multi level selling scheme that was being operated in the bar restaurant area for 2 of the 4 nights we stayed (Monday & Wednesday). They took over the areas so there was no place where you could not hear the poor people getting caught up in this "legal" pyramid scheme. This was high pressure selling that made my family feel very uncomfortable as we knew what they were up to. We also had to hear the debrief of what they had thought of the person after the session. I would hope as a brand Holiday Inn would be more discerning of the business conducted under its roof, this was not a post work conversation but organised event. August 12, 2013

Over the last few years we have stayed here regularly and have always found the standard to be excellent. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the breakfasts in the Junction restaurant are always first class, and the staff in all parts of the hotel go out of their way to be helpful and make your stay so enjoyable. A brilliant courtesy bus service to and from underground station. Had an evening meal which was far from satisfactory, a Thai green curry floating in oil? This was supposed to be a 'special of the day', it wasn't. However the waiting staff did their best to address the problem but we were still unable to enjoy the meal. Breakfast, however was superb and if I hadn't pigged out on everything else could have found room for a pancake. The room was fairly clean but the bath was disappointingly shabby. August 12, 2013

Usual comfortable bed and cheerful and helpful reception - particularly re advice on how to get to the West End on an evening when the Northern Line was out of action. However, we were on the top floor which had a mix of smoking and non-smoking rooms. There was a definite smell of tobacco smoke in the corridor when we arrived - maybe due the room doors being open during valeting - and our non-smoking room seemed to have a faint taint of tobacco odour in it, as if it had once been a smoking room and had recently been converted to non-smoking. So maybe a little more thought needs to be given to this during room valeting. However, it would be far better of smoking and non-smoking rooms were clearly segregated and not mixed up on the same corridor. August 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming and Friendly Once again we had a very enjoyable three-night stay at our most frequently visited Holiday Inn. The warm and friendly welcome actually begins before reaching the hotel; it begins with the wonderfully cheery greeting always offered by the driver of the courtesy car as we are collected and transferred from the 'Tube Station' of Brent Cross. In a most pleasing fashion, the warmth of welcome and recognition is repeated by the friendly Reception staff and when we are seen by members of the managerial staff. It is certainly capable of making us feel valued guests. The amenities of the hotel compensate for its rather remote location and adding the facility of the excellent 'Courtesy Car' easily allows ventures further afield. A genuinely friendly and efficient crew of restaurant staff oversee a fine experience in the well-run breakfast operation, which offers an appealing and appetising wide range of fare. Though, due to the use of rail travel, we seldom now make use of the car-park, a walk round and an inspection of the greenery, shrubs and flowerbeds is always an attraction. And how joyful to be greeted #usually on Mondays before departure# by the 'Gent' of a genial man who undertakes the maintenance of this special sphere. Just like a final touch which delightfully rounds off a pleasurable stay. July 27, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay!! Whether heading to London for Business or Leisure, the Holiday Inn at Brent Cross must be one of the capitals best kept secrets!! Located in North London, this hotel is perfectly placed to access any part of the capital in a relatively short travel time. Guests can use either the local bus services or the hotel's own shuttle bus service to the nearby Brent Cross tube station. There is also a large shopping centre within walking distance, plus various other Retail parks nearby to fill out the odd moments where you have nothing to do. It is an imposing building, which can be seen from a good distance away on the skyline. The first impressions are those of a well kept and 'chic' hotel, and this turns out to be true when entering the hotel too. Facilities in the hotel are great, and the staff will do everything they can to help you. They are what makes this hotel special. I would personally rate the staff as one of the very best hotel teams that I have ever had the good fortune to meet. Food, accommodation and amenities are all of a high standard, upholding the IHG Brand in the best possible light, but sadly the lack of Free Internet, or at least a reasonably priced Internet, is a mark down for the venue. If you really need to use the Internet, do check up the rates prior to staying, as they are a little 'eye watering'!! I fully recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for good value, comfort and service whilst visiting London for either Business or Leisure - but try to book well in advance too, to avoid disappointment. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by More express than Holiday Inn Disappointed with the general standard of the hotel, room was tired, allocated a smoking room as told all non-smoking were full. When my colleague checked in later he was given a choice. Bar and breakfast area are too small for the number of rooms and have no ambiance. Water pressure was poor in the shower (I was on the 10th floor!). Told that there was free wifi for IHG rewards members but was unable to log on other than through a charged service - didn't use. On the plus side the staff were terrific, friendly efficient and helpful. For me more like a Holiday Inn Express than a Holiday Inn July 16, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fab hotel and such lovely staff We booked in at this hotel on night of 29th June to go and watch Robbie at Wembley. We booked 3 rooms for our party of 6 which were spacious and clean. The staff were all very friendly, especially the concierge on the front desk and nothing was too much trouble for any one of them. We ate lunch in the bar and it was scrummy and the breakfast on the Sunday morning beautiful :-) Would definitely stop there again if going to Wembley and would highly recommend. July 10, 2013

We used the shuttle service from the underground to the hotel which made our stay a little easier. This service could be extended for journeys from the hotel and wembley return,after the concert there are no means to get back to the hotel it took us 2 hrs by travelling on 2 bus journeys and there was probably 20 - 30 people of the bus making there way to the hotel. I would have paid £10 for this service to take the away the problem of transportation I know it wouldn't be much quicker but it's just a thought. Once again thank you July 7, 2013

The staff were all very professional and slick as a team, front of house at reception were so kind, and helpful. Our dinner and breakfast was superb and a great selection. Dinning staff were impressive in particular " adami" who was so informative and such a character whilst being a great advert for holiday inn, we will recommend to all our friends and family. The free shuttle bus to brent cross train was good and hotel inn great location for tubes and central London and opposite brentcross shopping centre. July 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stayed for business Stayed here to see what it was like, overall it was ok. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was nice. On the downside breakfast was an unexpected extra £16.95 (for a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee) The local tube station is an uncomfortable 10 min walk along a busy road. I don't want to be too harsh but there are better hotels for the same price in central London. June 19, 2013
