The hotel needs to be taken off of the Holiday Inn chain. There is no doubt in my mind this hotel is not owned by Americans. Its almost as bad as going to a foreign hotel in some of the countries I work in. The wood trim is a disaster with 1/4" gaps covered by 1/2" globs of caulking. The cleaning staff does not clean under the bathroom sinks and there was blood on the bathroom floor from the previous guest. Nail clippings, kotex wrappers, qtips were under the bathroom sink along with layers of fuzz balls. The same behind the TV and night stands. I made sure to check for bed bugs before I laid in that bed. None found. The rubber flooring in the rooms is not bonded to the floor and you can pick it up in strips which means that when you walk on it puffs of cement dust comes up in clouds. I am platinum several years in a row and I am so disappointed by this hotel I am staying at another chain when I come back next week. Never again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jaynie26 Nice rooms, good buffet
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Since we were with a large group it was easy to communicate with them. The restaurant staff was very helpful and courteous when our large group ate at the breakfast buffet. I would stay there again. My only complaint and it's not too important, but they need to provide softer bath towels. These have been washed so much that they were a little rough and scratchy. This would not stop me from staying there again, though.

After a 250 mile detour because of the floods in south Carolina we found this Hotel we were both very tired after being on the road for 3 days upon arrival we were greeted in a very pleasant manner we quickly arrived in our room and were very happy it was clean and inviting.
We decided to go down to the lounge to grab a bite when we got there it was very comfortable.
As we sat there a group of people came in and started shag dancing I am told they do that every Sunday it was a pleasure to meet and talk to these people its nice to see a happy group of people

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mn1981 locked out of room and wasn't let back in that night
I checked in at the Holiday Inn North in Macon, GA on September 29 to stay for two nights. I returned from dinner on September 30 and my door would not unlock. The front desk attendee tried to get it unlocked for me and struggled with it for about 30-45 min before it was declared she could not unlock and it was not going to be unlocked that night and that she was just going to have to give me another room. This would have been fine but I did not get to shower, brush my teeth, remove my contacts or finish my work on my laptop. She did not seemed to concerned with any of this it was a struggle for me to stay calm courteous. The next morning they did have my door working but I did not receive one apology from anyone in fact I don't believe anyone spoke to me. I emailed the manager hoping to receive some reward points for my trouble that would at very least equal enough to get a free room elsewhere but was offered 5000 points which isn't much. I requested 10,000 and was told I would get that but as 10-6-2015 I haven't even gotten that. I am a Spire member and I love IHG hotels and have always received top notch service and this was a rare exception. I travel in Macon usually 2 nights a month for work but I am going to seriously reconsider my stay at this particular hotel as the overall experience was the worst I've had at over ten years of being a priority club memeber

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by csturner Nicely appointed.. Room smelled musty
Beautiful property... New and modern. It was also a really beautiful room except that it had a really musty smell. I would get used to it once I was in there for a while, but once I'd leave and come back in.... P.U!!! The refrigerator was also missing. They were really slow to respond to the issue and never did get one in there. Front desk personnel was not very helpful or friendly and basically needed some additional training in customer service... or even just basic "smiling 101". Other than that... it was fine.
