My family and I stayed for our son's wedding. We had a block of rooms which was great.
We paid for several rooms and there was confusion at check-in and check-out over this; two of our guests were still charged for their rooms.
Staff were very friendly and responsive to our issues.
The room itself was clean and quiet, but dated and crowded. The heater malfunctioned, and even after it was fixed the room was quite cold. This happened in a couple of our party's other rooms.
We found the valet parking arrangement a tyranny, paying a high daily rate and being expected to tip every time we retrieved and dropped off our car. This does not serve your guests well at all. Would suggest charging a little more and paying your attendants more, removing the tipping dimension.
Overall, the stay was satisfactory, but we won't be using Holiday Inn again.

Staff did a great job. We were in the Memphis area for a trip to the new Outdoor Business that has just opened and wanted to spend the night downtown and visit Beale Street.
Memphis is famous for is BBQ and the restaurant right beside the Hotel was impeccable.
I would recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone who is traveling downtown Memphis.

Beautiful property in the heart of Memphis. Exceptional hotel with friendly staff other than the breakfast server. The breakfast bar was also less than stellar to say the least, but the property itself was great. The only other concern we had was that we were on the 12th floor and the windows completely opened up all the way. This could be a huge liability with some people.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by kgb33 Noisy and expensive
Room was noisy with all sorts of alarms and sirens going off through the night , Never got one full nights sleep in 6 nights , Great location , But the noise was too much , A room at the rear would have been better , But the views not so good , You pay your money and take your choice I suppose . Breakfast staff were unbelievably un friendly and we were ignored twice on 3 or 4 separate occasions , Not at all helpful . Front desk staff were ok . Think the hotel is in need of a renovation and bringing into the 21 century , Seems very dated to us . Location is good though , within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants , But this is probably the hotels only good point I'm afraid .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Any name not yet used Nice property, but noisy outside.
The only downside to this property is that it is close enough to Beale Street to generate too much noise on a Saturday night. Also, the buildings nearby form a cavern, so any traffic noises echo. But if you want to be near the center of the action, this is a great option!

The hotel is in a good location to all the clubs and restaurants in the area. Staff are friendly and cooperative and the onsite café is plus.
