Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn In Metairie Is The Best I travel for work to New Orleans almost every month for the last four years or so, and when I do I always stay at The Holiday Inn in Metairie, LA. It's perfect for a guy that travels in a larger vehicle. They have plenty of parking and It's literally only five minutes from downtown. It's also very convenient to all of the local and area hospitals, grocery stores, shopping malls and centers. Also they have a wonderful bar and grille with some of the best breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The staff at this particular Holiday Inn always welcome me smiles all around and wonderful service. I am always excited to visit the New Orleans area simply because I know for a fact that my stay will always feel as close to home as it possibly can be. Everyone from management on down to the gentlemen that drive the airport vans to and from are always on point with their fervent attitude towards helping their customers in anyway they can. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New Orleans Visit The hotel was an excellent choice for our needs in visiting New Orleans. The airport shuttle was a primary reason for this selection and we like Holiday Inn. The staff were extremely helpful with information on area attractions information and restaurant information. They were also very friendly and accommodating. The facility had a fitness center, which was okay for cardio, but it was lacking in strength training equipment for our particular needs. October 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Nice Experience For the Most Part The staff was friendly in both the hotel and attached restaurant & bar. Kim the bartender gets a particular shout out for the way she made me feel welcome. The room looked updated and modern as most Holiday Inns are. However the modern ended inside the room. The hallways seemed circa 1970's and the room doors (at least mine) was like a jail cell opening and closing. The hallways also had a musty smell to them. So if I had any advise for hotel management that would be do something with the hallways. Everything else was very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to traveling to New Orleans.
