Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Shuttle Service and Location to Vanderbilt Hospital But That's All We were there during the time it snowed due to my sister's surgery. Road conditions were not great and the driver "Larry" was awesome. He worked all day taking people here and there safely. Even made a last trip after his shift was suppose to end to make sure he didn't leave anyone. Other drivers were ok and my hats off to the front desk rep who stepped in to drive the shuttle Saturday (1/23/16) night because no one could get to work. The rest of our stay was unimpressionable. Staff was shorthanded and overworked because the ones that were there were stuck and had worked many hours. Here is the problem: We stayed at the hotel 4 nights and our room was only cleaned once. That's no beds made, uncleaned room for 3 days, no clean towels (unless we called for them), several days worth of trash unemptied, had to ask for more toilet tissue and kleenex, and only a few channels worked despite the laminated list of channels offered. It was three of us in a room so you can imagine how the room looked even with us trying to keep things neat. While staff were pleasant there were no apologies for their neglect nor was there any offers made to us to make up for this. Complimentary breakfast, valet parking or a credit would have been nice and really should have been offered. We did pay for services that were not available to us. It would have been good business to do so. February 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional customer service Our stay did not start out well as we had a room with extremely high beds and no bathtub and the sliding bathroom door was VERY hard to open and close. The super nice repairman worked on the door and improved it's operation, but was unable to fix it completely. He then arranged for us to move to a room that more closely fit our needs. The room attendant was also very attentive to things we requested. The desk clerks were helpful in arranging our transportation needs. We ere there for 3 days and were very comfortable. It was nice to have a cafe on the premises, but was the type that was often loud with the evening entertainment and it is not open for lunch. We had room service one time and were pleased with the service, but is only available while the cafe is open. Overall, our stay at this Holiday Inn was just what we needed. February 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous managers and staff This is the hotel I always choose for my frequent trips to Nashville. The staff is excellent, and everyone strives to make the experience top notch for every guest. During the recent snow storm, the hotel manager and assistant managers walked guests to their cars, armed with ice scrapers and snow brushes to make sure everyone could get out of the parking lot all right. This was typical of the kind of service this hotel provides. Breakfast is always delicious with friendly, efficient servers. Great open mic entertainment in the evening. Best location and value in Nashville. February 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by parking lot woes Nice hotel. Nice location. Staff are fine but do not go out of their way to assist. The parking lot is expensive especially when you must pay to park in a lot that is unattended and had zero attempts at snow removal. I found it disappointing that the valet parking out front was completely cleared of snow while the lot I parked in remained untouched. Only the rain and heat wave cleared the snow. It was treacherous. I would stay here again based upon location. February 3, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was great! I have stayed in many hotels and several Holiday Inns. I would rate this one above average of the typical HI. However, it is an older building and the rooms are small. They have upgraded the bathroom with a walk in shower instead of the older tub and shower, and added a wall mirror. The water pressure in the sink was horrible, not much more than a slow trickle. I couldn't even get the toothpaste out of my brush. But fortunately the shower was great. We were on the Executive Floor and there was an Executive Lounge, which was nothing more than a small room with a small seating area and some designer coffee and teas. If there were supposed to be snacks on the snack tray, someone ate them all before we got there. The valet and bell hop service could not have been any better. $24 for them to drive my car 50 feet to the front parking lot (valet only) was excessive. But the attendants were all helpful and friendly. The bell hop Mahir should get the Employee of the Month Award. He exceeded our expectations. The shuttle service was a wonderful surprise. Ray was friendly and the shuttle was prompt when called. It was a first come first serve service, so don't count on it being available if you have an appointment. He might be on the other side of town. Two shuttles on the weekend would have been appreciated. We took a taxi so we would not be late because he was stuck in traffic. February 2, 2016
