Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Remodeling being done... Hotel is in a great location for Vandy baseball, football or basketball games, but is in the middle of being remodeled. I was given a remodeled room and to be honest, not much seemed new except the beds are a bit taller. The bathroom is very still cramped with no counter space. February 26, 2015

Very comfy bed, with a wide choice of pillows. Highly recommended! Also, very easy to access Vanderbilt and a free shuttle in a 3 mile radius. February 26, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room Rate Issue Stayed here due to hotel close proximity to work. Was given one rate and assured could use hosptial staff rate when I got to hotel. Upon check in was told that staff rate was sold out and would have to use quoted rate at time of reservation. Very disappointed-- Front desk clerks very impersonable and not to concerned with checking me in. Otherwise nice room recently decorated. Room still smelled of fumes from recent renovation and could see light through door crack in adjoining room that was being renovated my entire stay. Made it hard to sleep at night. February 19, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced Construction Zone We booked a one night stay several weeks in advance for a King bed, non smoking room for an event we were attending Valentine's Day weekend. The hotel called US that afternoon to confirm our length of stay and room type. We confirmed our reservation and that we were still coming that night. When we arrived at 10:50PM, our room type was not available. In addition, we were apologized to at the desk because "your floor looks like a bit of a construction zone" because there had been a "major flood." We were given 2 drink tickets for our inconvenience (we're IHG members anyway - so is this really a perk for our inconvenience?) When we got to the floor, construction zone was an understatement. There were over 12 contractor grade fans blowing off the carpet. Wallpaper was pulled up. Room doors were open with additional fans inside. You could barely hear two people talking over the fans. It was loud. There were 5-7 huge electrical cords running across the floor for all the fans that we had to step over to get to our room. The floor was not complete from recent remodeling, but on top of that, the walls were clearly wet. The upside is that our room was recently remodeled and was clean. However, we were in a wind tunnel all night. It was loud. It was not a good nights sleep after a long day. On top of the fact that we didn't get the bed type we requested. There is a grave disconnect between the cost of our room and the quality of the experience here. We should have been offered much more than drink tickets for free coffee in the morning. While the front desk staff was trying to be gracious given the circumstances, no one went above and beyond given the mess we walked into. They knew we were standing there at 11PM at night with no where else to go. So we felt taken advantage of given the circumstances. The way you know a company really cares about customer service is when they reach into THEIR pocket book to make it right. A verbal apology is the bare minimum. I'm sure the hotel will be lovely once it is finished and the flood is fixed - but I wish they placed a greater value on our customer experience and did more in that moment to win our ongoing business. They knew this was going on. Someone could have called us and booked us at another hotel with a comparable room. Or provided a meaningful discount. Overall disappointing. February 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed by the services and ambience *No value for money, *Asked to pay for very basic services like a glass of water given the exorbitant amount already paid as the fare. *Very narrow selection of TV channels. All the better services are on a $5 or more per view paid basis *The whole corridor smelled of paint when I visited there. The lobby was noisy with the huge vent motors running there continuously. *Breakfast included during the booking, but denied at the counter saying it is not. February 18, 2015
