WHEN YOU TRAVEL YOU WANT THE BEST HOTEL FOR THE MONEY. WELL I FOUND IT WITH THIS HOLIDAY INN. THE LAST NITE WE WENT TO THE BAR AND THEY HAD LOCAL SINGERS COME IN, AROUND 20. THAT WAS AWSOME ! (STORES NEARBY)

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by tnstate traveler State Employees Be Aware ($20 per night parking fee)
I was highly disappointed to arrive to find that a $20 dollar per night parking fee was added to my reservation. Details of that was not included on my app reservation. This is a new policy for this hotel and the details were not clearly outlined prior to arriving. I hope I can get reimbursed by the state for this amount as the amount seems excessive to me. Under 10 dollars seems more reasonable. In addition, the entire front parking lot is reserved for valet parking. This left me to fight like a dog for a spot to park in the back lot. The back parking lot is a total disorganized mess. People who stay at the hotel are competing with spots with people who are having day meetings at the hotel.
Beware. Just be prepared to fight aggressively for a spot. It was hideous and ruined the experience for me.
I find it odd that a Holiday Inn Express has valet parking. I choose expresses to avoid the pretentiousness. This hotel is nice but not the type of hotel you would expect valet parking.
My advice to fellow state travelers...... if you are headed to the towers and do not mind to pay the parking fee THEN STAY AT HOTELS THAT ARE CLOSER. My self. Looks like I will start my search for a new favorite. This was my last time at this facility.

I realize that sleeping in a hotel bed isn't going to be as comfortable as sleeping in my own bed, but this bed was unusually uncomfortable for a hotel. I tossed and turned during the night. My back hurt in the morning from the bed, and my neck hurt from the pillow. Also, they charge a ridiculous self-parking fee of $20/night. If I am spending my money to stay at a hotel, then I expect a place to park my car at no charge. Also, taxes were excessive.

I have not stayed here in over a year due to work. When I drove up, I parked in the front parking lot like I always had before and went in to register. When I returned to my car, an employee politely informed me I needed to move my car as I was parked in Valet parking...(no signs indicated this). I moved my car and returned to the lobby to await the shuttle. The young lady that checked me in came over and asked me if I was going to park my car with them and if so, starting that day there would be a $20.00/day fee! Was not aware of this extra charge when I made reservations or when I checked in.
I will say that the hotel has made many improvements to raise the level of the hotel experience. The staff is very attentive and customer responsive.

Overpriced for what you get
Executive suite was not a suite at all and Executive Floor Lounge was tiny and not stocked with snacks or very many beverages - pretty much useless
