Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleased After spending one night on an air mattress at my son's new apartment, i needed to find somewhere to stay that was comfortable. This H.I. was around the corner from his apartment, and i am very pleased that i found it. Room was beautiful and i wanted to take the bathroom home with me, very impressed. Comfortable bed and a great view of the new freedom tower. The front desk staff was very helpful too! Most definately would recommend this hotel!! July 10, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely New Hotel This is a lovely new hotel on the Lower East Side. Great downtown location. Clean, spacious, and comfortable. The handicapped shower was perfect for my mobility needs, however the floor flooded too easily after every shower, every day. It was as though the bathroom became a pond. I was able to get around safely, but someone with more severe mobility issues might not be safe in a bathroom that floods so easily. Overall great experience. July 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Superior Front Desk Customer Service I have booked this stay the last minute at a very late hour of the evening. By the time I arrived at the property, it was about midnight. I was pleasantly greeted by Sheila @ Front Desk with a smile and addressing me by "Mr. ...". That particularly struck my attention. Sheila was able to quickly perform the check-in process being on the computer and describing services available - PLUS, striking a conversation with me on topics of New York City and travel tidbits. This is what I call 'multi-tasking'! When I returned to the Front Desk a bit later to request for a later check-out time. Instead of saying 'yes or no', she skillfully upsold me on joining the customer loyalty program by not only giving me the check-out time till 2:00PM, but also encouraged future bookings with the same hotel group. This is what I call 'effective sales' that leads to continued business. The property was very new and clean. The location might not be smack in the middle of midtown, but the subway is right around the corner with all the usual quick service restaurants to coffee cafes to convenient store. June 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional check in staff, poor restaurant and location Very over priced for the location. If you want to see more of Manhattan stay closer to time square. The restaurant had poor service and very over priced. For just two pancakes, $10.00. Limited menu selections. They should offer complimentary breakfast for the room price and location. Most other holiday inn expresses do offer complimentary breakfast. Rooms are not very sound proof. Lots of noise in halls and on street. Since NY never sleeps......your sleep gets constantly interrupted by the noise. June 18, 2013

Hotel is within easy walk of Chinatown, Little Italy, Seaport and World Trade Center Memorial. Lobby and rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was excellent very friendly and helpful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NYC hotel that wowed and amazed! Thanks to everyone at the Holiday inn-(lower east side location). I was in NYC for the Paul McCartney concert and had to find a reasonably priced and clean hotel and this was the perfect place. Close to the subway was only a two minute walk (if that) to the station...easily accessible to all parts of Manhatten...a perfect location...VERY friendly and helpful staff, Uber clean..only 3 months old, and rooms were well equipped with all the amenities and free wifi. Also, a complimentary business center, if you did not have a laptop! From check in to check out, I was completely wowed and amazed! They also have a Priority Club membership, which is free and allows for conveniences such as late check out, etc. Thank you everyone, for making my stay in NYC that much more comfortable June 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gonvenient location and clean room We booked two rooms one for four nights and one for three nights to attend the 2013 NYU's commencement ceremony that occurred on May 21 for college and on 22 for univeristy. We were pleasantly surpised by the neatness of the hotel located in the lower east end. The staff had been courteous throughout our stays, but failed miserably on accomplishing the asked task. The task was a simple request to find information whether a taxi could be arranged from the hotel to the Yankee statium on the day of ceremony. We waited in the lobby for a good thirty minutes while the staff seemingly was eargerly searching on a computer. After he took care of a couple of new check-ins, I went and found out he had done nothing to our request. I ended up arranging my own transportation for the event The housing keeping eagerly took our tips for the room, but failed to replenish coffee bags and soap bars, and did not remove the used bag from the coffee maker. Hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful. only strange thing was that the cleaning staff did not vacuum the room rug or sweep the bathroom floor any of the three nights we stayed. June 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Accessible, Clean, New, Comfy We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Holiday Inn LES. The rooms are small but then again, this is NYC. Hotel is new so the rooms are modern and clean. Super easy accessible to the subway. The only things would be the lack of happening-ness in the immediate vicinity. But we subway to the downtown core everyday to hang out, so it's not a big issue. June 5, 2013

It was very close to our son's apartment on the lower east side and also just around the corner from a subway stop. We were able to easily get to all parts of the city from this location. We really enjoyed the local Italian restaurants and many others. We always felt safe and on the morning we left for the airport, we had no problem getting a cab very quickly on the Delancey Street side of the hotel. The restaurant downstairs was never busy and the food there was good as well. The entire staff at the hotel were very responsive to any of our needs. We would definitely stay here again. May 31, 2013

The rooms are clean (and serviced daily) and the staff are very friendly & helpful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Hotel The room was not huge, but it was very nice, new looking and clean. We had two men in a room with two double beds and had no issues with the size of the room. It was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close to a subway station so it is convenient to get around. I will stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel for this part of town. May 16, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Slow Elevators and Noisy Rooms The elevators are VERY slow, and the card readers in the elevators do not work well. Even a employee had trouble with the elevator's card reader, so I know it wasn't just me. There was a very loud group of people on the 2nd floor during my stay. I believe this group had several rooms on the 2nd floor. The group was loud in the hallway and in their rooms.The hotel staff did nothing to correct these people who were clearly making an inappropriate amount of noise. Since noise readily travels from one room to the next, I was not able to rest or sleep at all. May 10, 2013

Within walking distance to Little Italy, Chinatown and lower Manhattan, Battery Park, Wall St. Also the very beautiful Williamsburg bridge is within 10 min walk from the hotel. 2 min walk to the nearest subway station, in case you are tired of walking. The hotel was quiet at night and the staff was wery nice and helpful. The building looked like recently renovated, everything was new, clean and modern in the hotel, textiles were beautiful and fresh, beds comfortable. There was some snacks and drinks available in the lobby, no breakfast included, but there was a coffeemaker in the room. Plenty of restaurants and the colourful Essex Market almost next door. The manager of housekeeping called me and said unfortunately my watch was not found. But she said she would keep my information. A week later she called me and said she had investigated the matter thoroughly and she believed that she had located my watch. I described my watch and she said that she would ship it to me. I believe her name is Faye. I am so thankful for her hard work as the manager of housekeeping. April 29, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New property in NYC This property just opened the week before my arrival. The staff were kind and accomodating. As with most NYC hotels, even with the upgrade I received, it was still like being in a shoebox. The hotel is in a prime location with the subway less than a block away. I was able to get to Time Square, Rockafeller Center etc, in less than 30 min. I would stay there again on future business trips. April 3, 2013
