Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A very tired hotel that's stuck in the past I arrived at the hotel and did not know what to expect, what I found was a very tired and old fashioned Hoilday Inn. Upon check in I was was offered a bar of chocolate from a basket and a bottle of water. I asked if a room upgrade was available as a Platinum member but was told no even though rooms were available. Apparently it's at the managers descretion and I was not chosen. The room was very tired with a dated bathroom and lots of old dark wood that has seen better days. WiFi is free but with a download speed of 0.12MB I decided it was better not to bother and stream through my iPhone. I was going to order room service but with a £4.95 tray charge decided to phone Dominos Pizza instead. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. Breakfast was very poor and I had to ask twice for a cup of tea. If I am ever in Stoke again I will make sure not to stop at this hotel June 30, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smallest Queen Bed in the World The gym was nice, the food was acceptable, the staff were friendly but the bed was small and the room was tiny. My wife and I chose to stay in this hotel instead of others in the area because, although the location was less convenient and the price was higher, the room information on the booking website described the bed as "Queen". When I arrived I discovered that the bed was a standard 4'6" double and the room was so small that it could not have accomodated a larger bed. June 27, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing for a Holiday Inn. This hotel is tired and shabby in all senses of the word. The building is run down and the service that I experienced was poor. Some of the staff are basically friendly but are clearly not well trained in how to behave and deliver a professional service. I have stayed in many hotels - many of them Holiday Inns and this one was disappointing. Food orders were very late and inaccurate. Food quality was average. The room was reasonably comfortable if a little cold and tired. However, in fairness, the bathroom and what I think was a new shower was fine if very small. Holiday Inn is generally a good brand and I have had good experiences with them - sadly this was not one of them. June 8, 2015
