Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shabby and overpriced This was an unfortunate choice. I am a priority club member and stay at Hoiliday Inns often and this one is not good. I will say that the room was clean and there was (not ironically) great water pressure in the shower but the cheap laminate flooring in the room was peeling up and the towels were stained (yikes, yellow stains) and frayed. The staff at the front desk tried to be helpful but they couldn't recommend a decent place for us to have dinner. I imagine it was expensive because of the Falls nearby but they really need to put some of that money back into the property. Broken elevator buttons and lack of AC in the public areas also didn't give a sense of comfort, for sure. As a Priority Club member they did toss me a small bag with some cheap chocolate and salty snack. September 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad week for Holiday Inn. Bad week for this hotel. Monday dinner at Pinetree restaurant was 2 really bad steaks. Tuesday 5:30 pm fire alarm -- evacuate the building. That night (12:40 am) evacuate again. Wednesday buffet breakfast -- no air conditioning!! Really uncomfortable breakfast. Worst of all was the attitude of the Asst. Manager Michelle. This obnoxious brat wouldn't even listen to your customers and pretend to have compassion. She interrupted and kept her mouth going rather than try to help solve problems. September 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Smokey rooms! We booked a non smoking room since we are non smokers and had two kids. We were given a room on third floor, but once one entered the room, it smelt like 1940 cafe in NYC where everyone was smoking inside. I called the front desk they said that its non smoking room and if we want them to put spray, we have to get out at least for 45 minutes which was really none sense after 10 hour drive with two kids. I think they should really work on the odor of the rooms and make sure that no smoke leaks into the other rooms since the 4th flour is a smoking floor. And I asked for a Microwave, they said I have to pay $10 each night. I think this was very rude and inhospitable. September 2, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Old Facility This hotel has been renovated but not well. Floors in rooms and bathrooms were not real clean. Rooms are extremely small and cramped. The fire alarm went of twice during our stay and we had to vacate hotel (Apparently a faulty system). The staff was excellant despite the fair conditon of the hotel. September 1, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel ever! This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The bathroom in the room smelled like urine. Instead of carpet, the room had fake hard wood floors which were peeling up and were not clean. There was a partially eaten muffin laying around the corner from the elevators and it was there for the entire duration of our visit. The elevators were 100 degrees and it wasn't even hot outside. During one of our rides down the elevator, we were delighted to be accompanied by a chewed piece of gum that had been stuck on the handle bar. There were two men's bathrooms on the lobby floor and both of those smelled terrible as well. The alarm clock in the room was turned on and woke us up out of a dead sleep at midnight. We were rudely woken up a 2nd time at 4:00 am when the person in the room next to us took a shower and the pipes were ringing loud enough to wake the dead. Is that enough or should I keep going? Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worse service ever As a ambassador member and frequent to Holliday Inn I was surprised that the staff at the desk was not friendly at all and I got the worse treatment of all, and the worse room ever in my life. They did not even considered to upgrade me at all and when I asked about upgrade they told me I can get upgrade only if I pay extra. It is with a great regret I had to stay there August 28, 2013

Beautiful Rooms Staff was so helpful...wanted to make sure that your trip was all you wanted it to be.. they were not pushy, talked to you to see what you were looking for to do and than they had the perfect trip for you to enjoy Niagara Falls at a GREAT PRICE...The Hotel and Rooms were beautiful.....and everything was just a nice easy walk away.... Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location location location Did I mention that this hotel is in a great location tothe falls and downtown shopping and eating. Hotel staff competent and courtious. Room very nice. For Pete;s sake put microwaves in rooms. Charging ten dollars ro have one installeed is not professional, and the lne at the lobby microwave was too much. You have a fridge in the room, so provide a way to heat up items. Breakfast from room service took ove an hour to get delivered at non peak time of 9:30 am. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by uncomfortable bed and more As soon as I sat on the bed, it creaked. That was the springs in the boxspring, I suppose. It was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. Both, me and my sister, woke up sore and the pillows were hard too. When we checked in, we were told we had a river view, ha ha ha! A peak, if that. I would say, for the price it wasn't worth it. The location isn't that good either. A very old hotel with need of updating...at least spend a little money on new beds. That is what we want, a good nights sleep. Swamp cooler without a thermostat. Too hot, then too cold. The only thing going for it is the hardwood floors. At least it felt clean. August 23, 2013

While this hotel is very close to the falls, and provides a descent view of the falls, I feel that it was way over priced. The hotel is old and in need of a refurbishment. The restaurant especially needed work. It really smelled, and look old and outdated. It is somewhat disappointing that all of the best hotels are on the other side of the river (Canada). I think the Holiday Inn and its neighboring U.S. hotels need to make major improvements to keep dollars from going across the border. August 20, 2013

Lots of space in lobby (toward swimming pool) to hang out and chat. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 13 Day IHG Vacation My family and I were on a 13 day vacation that I booked through IHG rewards because I am an Elite Platinum member. We stayed at 5 IHG hotels and this location was visually poor, poorly maintained, dirty and overall is not up to IHG standards. We were given what was expressed as a "PLATINUM" upgrade. If this room was their best, then I would hate to see the other rooms. I did ask four other staff members if there were any suites and they informed me that there were not and that there were not any rooms that I could move to. The upgrades, if any in this hotel were minimal and done unprofessionally. The staff at this location seemed to be very young and inexperienced/untrained. One example would be when I ordered room service. I had to go pick it up because I was told they were too busy, but when I went down I found only one couple eating. Then I waited 20 minutes before a staff member greeted me. Then I asked for mayo and mustard. The young girl came out with two squeeze bottles and said, "We are out of to go containers, so just take these." I paid more for this hotel than any other during our vacation! I noticed in the bathroom that there was a sign that read, I would not have to pay if I was not satisfied with any portion of my stay. I am very displeased and unsatisfied with my entire stay and will expect some kind of response from corporate. August 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT LOCATION If you want to be walking distance from Niagra Falls, this is the place to stay. Also, there is a tour company that has a desk in the lobby. We were more than thrilled with the tour and it was worth every penny. We took the last tour, leaving around 5:30 p.m. and didn't get back to the hotel until after the fireworks show. It was great. The convenience of location and being able to take the tour from this hotel makes it much easier on the guest. The only negative feedback is there is no complimentary breakfast which most hotels offer. August 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Night's Rest...Greast Pool We had a party of 10 and wanted something close to Niagara Falls that was not overpriced yet clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of the falls for the nighttime glamour of the lights; we found it at your Holiday Inn. After a long day walking around the falls and the shops, relaxing by the pool was the best experience. After a good meal at the restaurant (pricey but good) we could again walk to the falls in the evening and watch the lights and the fireworks. This was the perfect spot. Only one suggestion, the checkin is very late in the day and it is nice to be welcomed with cold beverages in the lobby, but it would have been nice to sit poolside in the BIG LOUNGE area had we known it existed; no one told us it was there. We wasted lots of time waiting for the room to be readied. August 15, 2013
