From a warm smile at check in, to the food, bar and breakfast, I go out of my way to stay here. I have elite status with other hotels in the area but prefer to stay at this facility! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn - Palmdale By far the best feature of this location is the staff. From management to the front desk and lounge staff they make you feel at home. Very friendly and easy to deal with. If you have to be on the road its nice to enjoy your stay. Several of my colleagues and I drive the extra 15 minutes south of where we are working strictly due to the staff. That says it all. Highly recommended. April 7, 2014

The issue is that if you have a group of people staying there for months on end, getting a group rate you are NOT entitled to IHG points. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and very friendly and accommodating staff My family and I just loved the room we booked. The service was great and the staff had been wonderful. If there is anything negative , it is the coffeemaker and the food. My husband ordered the pork chop and there were two thin slices that were a little overcooked. The hot food in the breakfast buffet were not hot, they were close to being cold especially the scrambled eggs. Overall though, the experience was wonderful! February 21, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Music in Banquet Room Where as the place was nice, it was not quiet. We were down for a girls softball tournament. My daughter and I were on the second floor above a banquet room that had a "rave" going on. I called the front desk 3 times about the noise, they said it was a jazz group. It was loud dance music. The vibrations from the bass rattled the room, the bed and right into our pillows. This went on until 1:30 am. I was not informed this was to go on below us. My daughter and I were up until 1:30, which made getting up and going to our first game really bad (we lost that game too!). Sunday night was the same thing, fortunately the hotel let us switch rooms and we got some sleep. Still, not a good experience at all. November 11, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Nice rooms, bad breakfast The rooms were amazingly comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were very well kept. The only issue I had was breakfast in the morning which was free. Sat down for breakfast and the waitress said they only had coffee or water which wasn't horrible because I thought it was free. Ate an ok breakfast then the waitress asked if we had meal coupons. I stated we checked in late in the evening and the receptionist told me their was a free continental breakfast in the morning. She went and checked with the front desk and stated that because I booked my room online with a small discount the breakfast would cost over $15/person. I ended up paying anyway. Disappointed! They should have asked for the coupon as soon as the guest sit down. October 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room, friendly staff I was recently there for an event and banquet night. The room was nice and the staff was very friendly. The banquet room was rather small for the number of people we had, but though a bit tight it was well laid out. A number of my table mates complained about the banquet food, more that it was bland and a bit cold, but I thought it was fine. One of the most vocal of the complainers sent his food back because it was "ice cold" and requested a vegetarian option. He then proclaimed the Egg Plant Parmigina "excellent" and finished off the entire plate. October 5, 2013

Maintenance not great: - Bathroom sink would not drain fast enough to keep up with running water. - When the hollow metal closet rod bent badly after I hung my garment bag in the middle of the space (there was no center rod support) I reported the problem. Instead of replacing the bar with a new one, they either straightened mine or replaced it with another one that was obviously straightened. - The two electrical outlets on the desk lamp were so badly worn that they would not allow plugged-in devices to make reliable contact, which I discovered when my camera battery stopped charging shortly after I plugged it in. - On one end of the shower curtain, the fastener to hold up the inner liner was broken, so it was impossible to fully close the curtain to keep water in. - Desk chair's backrest was either worn or dirty. - There was only one bottle of water given for my two-night stay. Poor room layout: - Room is long and narrow, making it impossible to view the TV from the sides and the beds area at the same time. - The toilet is too close to the faucet side of the tub. - When the bathroom door is open, it completely blocks the room's front door. - The sink is inconveniently located across the entry hall from the bathroom. - Our banquet room was small and narrow. Restaurant can't keep up with the breakfast rush: - On the first day, when it was crowded, the selection of items at the included buffet breakfast was missing items. I had to wait for about 10 minutes for scrambled eggs. The next day, when I arrived later, I found a greater variety of items and everything was well stocked. Poor value: - A friend stayed at a national motel chain's property very close, spending less for his two-night stay than I paid for my first night. October 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A quality staff who anticipates your needs. Here on business, I have stayed for a total of 6 weeks now and have been extremely pleased with my experience. Among many, the number one highlight of my stay was, hands down, the 'consistent' customer service. This entire staff, not only saw to every request I had, but went above and beyond by anticipating my needs. They were warm and friendly, always smiling and they have a way of 'genuinely' making me feel that they're happy to see me. I could easily say something unique and positive about every staff member, but I'll shorten to a few who really stood out to me......... Heather at the front desk is so kind and helpful and truly a joy to speak with, Corina in the Restaurant always asked me about my night or weekend and had my breakfast to-go box in hand so I could head right out for work (A thank you to the fantastic Chef by the way), Terry in Maintenance went to great lengths for me when I was having problems with my laptop connection in the room; he even went as far as to try an extension AND take me to their neighboring hotel on the property to double check if it was an outlet issue in the building. I have never seen so many employees cater to the guest to such an extent. Last but not least, Kimberly in Marketing has done an outstanding job making sure I had everything I needed and that I was well taken care of by the staff. What a lovely stay this was; there's no doubt I would return if ever in the area....... especially for the EXTREMELY soft towels and generous shower pressure (we all know that's rare in hotels!) . My frustration is with IHG vice the hotel thereby knocking off several points. Emergency situation caused an arrival delay (1 day) change in plans and as a result was forced to forfeit my Reservation which included meal had I kept the original day. Everything else remained the same One Day - King. Added to this was the attitude of the waitress during breakfast - which presented as arrogance when I explained I did not have vouchers and was willing to pay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Compassionate Staff This property is located within walking distance to the Palmdale Regional Medical Center. When my husband was admitted there for treatment after suffering a heart attack and cardiac arrest, the staff at this hotel was so very accommodating. My daughter and I arrived late in the evening, then one of my sons very early the next morning followed by my mother-in-law at 5:00am. The Cesar was on duty at the front desk and he was able to get us all rooms. I was even provided the use of the shuttle, day or night by the general manager of the hotel. Eleven days later, when my later, when my husband passed away, this staff was caring and understanding. On my return trip back east to be with family, I made a point to spend the weekend at the Palmdale Holiday Inn. The entire staff welcomed me back with open arms. They treat you like family, better than family. I will definitely make a point of staying at the Palmdale Holiday Inn whenever I have to stay in the area. August 21, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One night family stay Great looking property. Professional staff. Pool and hot tub very inviting and relaxing. Issues with outlets in the room but staff took feedback & advised of replacements in progress property wide. Breakfast buffet was not all that. Mine and the wife's was free but two 9 year olds cost nearly $27.00 - of which nearly $7 of that was for two juices. Not a good value IMO. Great place to stay but eat out. July 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service. Every 4th of July weekend, I always stay at the Holiday Inn in Palmdale. I have been staying there for the last 10years and still find the hotel to be customer service friendly, clean rooms and comforable beds. Cost is reasonable. Setting on the balcony looking out over the city in the evening is also a winner, It is also close to the freeway. July 10, 2013
